Desi Beats is a Wales-based dance company celebrating South Asian culture through movement, connection and joy. Blending traditional Desi dance styles with modern influences, they create inclusive experiences that are welcoming, empowering and full of energy.

From audience participation workshops to performances guaranteed to get the crowd moving, Desi Beats are all about building confidence, community and creating a space where everyone can feel part of the magic ✨

Box Edit are bringing the summer outfits to Barry Island Food Festival, and frankly, that feels dangerous for anyone who says they’s “just coming for food.”

They’ll be joining us on the 6th & 7th June with a gorgeous edit of women’s fashion, summer outfits, easy pieces, lovely little wardrobe finds and the kind of clothes you’ll convince yourself are “for holidays” even though you’re just going to wear them to supermarket and feel fabulous.

Expect cool outfits, feminine pieces, summer-ready styles, lovely fashion finds and clothes that feel very much like sunshine, glass of something cold.

It’s a free, family-friendly and dog-friendly weekend by the sea, with street food, music, chefs’ huts, Y Pantri, our Indie Market and loads of brilliant independent businesses to browse.

Mr Croquewich are joining us at Barry Island Food Festival and, honestly, this is very good news for anyone who enjoys cheese, carbs and making excellent life choices. 💪🏽

They’ll be bringing their legendary toasties to Barry Island on the 6th & 7th June — proper well-known, proper loved, and exactly the sort of festival food that’s going to be perfect with a pint by the sea.

It’s a free, family-friendly and dog-friendly weekend on Barry Island, with street food, music, chefs’ huts, Y Pantri, our Indie Market, local producers, independent businesses and loads of brilliant food to get stuck into.

Barry Island Food Festival isn’t just for eating your body weight in street food… though obviously, that is very much encouraged.

On the 6th & 7th June, Barry Island is turning into a proper little seaside day out, with food, music, family fun and our gorgeous Indie Market full of lovely things to browse, buy and pretend you “just popped out for a look” for.

Expect gifts, homeware, cards, handmade bits, independent makers, little treats, useful things, completely unnecessary things you’ll suddenly need with your whole chest, and all the good stuff that makes a market feel like a treasure hunt.

Look out for

It’s free to attend, kid-friendly, dog-friendly and right on Barry Island, so bring the family, bring the dog, bring a tote bag, and maybe don’t pretend you’re “not buying anything” because we both know how that ends.

We are very excited to announce that local boy will be joining us at Barry Island Food Festival this June, across the weekend of the 6th and 7th. ❤️

Expect fire food, proper BBQ and the sort of cooking that makes you follow the smell before you’ve even checked the map.

A free, family-friendly food festival by the sea, bringing together street food, live music, Y Pantri, an indie makers market, chefs’ huts and plenty more lovely things to eat, drink and wander around.

Come hungry. This is not the weekend for a delicate little salad and a sparkling water.

🙌WOW. The response to Barry Food Festival 2026 has been unreal 🫶

A massive thank you to every incredible indie trader, street food vendor, artisan maker and festival foodie who applied to be part of this year’s event. The volume of applications….and the quality ….has completely blown us away.
This is shaping up to be one of the best food festivals.

Trader confirmations will be landing in inboxes over the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out

Missed the deadline? Don’t worry ...... A waitlist for late applications will be opening soon, so stay tuned across our socials for your chance to join one of the most exciting street food & artisan markets in South Wales.
