Friday Focus : Docility of the Hereford Bull

When you think of a bull, the first image that might come to mind is power, strength, and maybe even a little bit of unpredictability.

But the Hereford bull turns that stereotype on its head. Known as the gentle breed of the cattle world, the Hereford is celebrated not only for its impressive build but also for its exceptionally calm and manageable temperament.

An opportunity to purchase some lovely females from our high health polled pedigree Hereford herd here at Weybrook Farm.

Regrettably having to reduce our numbers and therefore some of our breeding cows are available. In calf (spring calving) to and with calves at foot by stock Bull: Barwise 1 Whimbrel who has become a real favourite here on the farm proving his worth with easy calving, a lovely temperament and consistent form.

This is an excellent chance to access some solid, reliable polled Hereford bloodlines (Solpoll, Panmure, Romany) and build a new herd or supplement your existing herd.
