📍 Eat a Pitta, Westgate Street, Bath

Is there a prettier lunch bowl? At home waiting for baby to arrive, feeling quite exhausted today.. needed something quick, tasty, light but full of goodies.. and then I remembered has opened a store in Bath!

I got the classic falafel bowl, and it did not disappoint! In general, I HATE falafel.. its dry, its boring, and I roll my eyes anytime I see it on a menu, but do them differently! I could eat them for every meal!

The bowls are super generous and filling, I usually finish mine in 2 sittings, they're so big. I think they have the perfect balance of affordable, healthy, tasty, 'fast food'. Definitely check them out if you need a quick bite to eat in town.. and even more so if you're a falafel sceptic like me!

First stop...

📍 Banana Tree, 15 Milsom Street (where Cafe Rouge was)

We were kindly invited to try the new spot just before Christmas.. and my gosh was it tasty! It's a Pan-Asian street food inspired casual dining spot with plenty vegan options.

We had the Malaysian Kajang satay skewers to start and actually had to send them back to the kitchen because we thought it was real chicken! (The kitchen confirmed they were the vegan ones!) I have no idea what chicken substitute they use but its by far the most realistic we've had.

The mains were both really delicious. Luke went for the blackened monks noodles and I opted for the tamarind spicy aubergine which was really deep in flavour.

Theres loads on their menu that I'd like to try but everything we had the first time was so good that we placed the exact same order through delievroo about a week later.

*BIG VEGAN BATH UPDATE*

So, it's been a while. Not long after our very last post wayyy back in June! We found out we were pregnant! Beautiful news which was swiftly followed by a horrendous 3 months of nausea and unknown heart problems.. which were potentially down to a B12 deficiency.. naughty vegan. Fast forward to January of 2024 and all has settled. We're feeling like our old selves again and we're ready to bring you all up to date with all things vegan bath!

Don't worry the page won't turn into a mums account.. but if I do find some good vegan babe friendly spots.. I will let you know!

We were kindly gifted some delicious donuts and an incredible meal which I'll share with you all shortly!
