Bordering Austria and Slovakia to the south, and centred on the culture-packed capital, Brno (part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network), Moravia has a history of winemaking dating back to the Roman era. he famed French and German wine regions of Champagne, Mosel and Alsace, it is situated at the 49th parallel, and its continental climate is particularly well suited to the production of aromatic white wines including Grüner Veltliner, Pálava, Riesling and Sauvignon.
