Long weekend plans? Forget the BBQ—it’s time to raid the w**e aisle! 🛒🍷
If you’re currently planning your wedding and watching the budget, bank holidays are your absolute best friend. Major supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Waitrose have just dropped their classic “Buy 6, Save 25%” w**e offers, and it’s one of the easiest ways to slash hundreds of pounds off your wedding drink budget….
Even better? These deals usually stack with loyalty card prices (hello, Clubcard and Nectar savings), meaning you can pick up crowd-pleasing Prosecco, crisp Sauvignon Blanc, or our favourite recommendation Porta6 for a fraction of the usual cost.

Pro-tip for couples:
Check the fine print on dates (most of these holiday deals wrap up right at the end of the long weekend).
Remember that 6 bottles turn into 12, 24, or a full wedding cellar real quick when you start calculating!
Who else is using the extra day off to tick “wedding alcohol” off the to-do list? Let us know your go-to supermarket w**e find in the comments! 👇

🥂W**e of the Week 🥂

Looking for the perfect pour to elevate your wedding menu? Meet our W**e of the Week: Gavi.
Originating from the sun-drenched hills of Piedmont, Italy, Gavi (made from the Cortese grape) is the quintessential crowd-pleaser for wedding season. Crisp, elegant, and effortlessly sophisticated, it is a masterclass in balance.
Why Gavi is the perfect wedding upgrade
Think of Gavi as the refined, more expressive cousin to your standard Pinot Grigio. While Pinot Grigio is a reliable staple, Gavi offers a noticeable step up in complexity.
Where Pinot Grigio is often light and simple, Gavi brings a refreshing depth—boasting vibrant citrus notes, a hint of honeysuckle, and a distinct, sophisticated minerality that lingers on the palate.
Why it pairs perfectly with your big day:
Versatile Pairing: Its bright acidity and delicate floral notes make it a dream with everything from fresh seafood starters to creamy chicken and light vegetarian mains.
Crowd-Pleasing Profile: Dry, refreshing, and never overwhelming, it’s the w**e that keeps guests happy from the first sip of the drinks reception to the last dance.
Italian Elegance: There’s a touch of Mediterranean romance in every glass, adding a sense of occasion to your tables.

“Sophistication in a glass—Gavi is the elevated choice for couples who want their wedding menu to be as memorable as the day itself.”

Did you know that Strawberry Fields has been part of the magic at Kingscote Barn Wedding venue with Luxury Accommodation since the very beginning? ✨
We are incredibly proud to be Kingscote Barn’s longest-serving catering partner. From the moment the barn opened its doors, we’ve been there to turn wedding day dreams into delicious realities.
👉 Fun Fact: We had the absolute honor of catering the very first wedding at the barn back in May 2007!
🌟 The Man Behind the Magic
Bonus fact… our manager Lee Bishop has been the driving force on the ground, personally looking after and managing nearly every single one of the weddings we’ve done at the barn over the past 19 years! From coordinating the perfect timeline to ensuring every plate is flawless, Lee’s dedication is unmatched.
Nearly two decades later, our passion for creating incredible and often bespoke wedding menus in this stunning Cotswolds location hasn’t changed. We love every single love story we get to be a part of here.
