This week we’re heading to Italy, and with the warmer weather arriving, it’s definitely rosé season! ☀️🌸

Our pick is Costa Toscana Rosé from Aldi – a beautifully pale, Provence-style rosé that’s elegant, refreshing and perfect for celebrating special occasions.

We’re taking this long weekend as a gentle reminder to slow down, switch off, and recharge properly. No alarms, no rush—just fresh air, and a glass (or two) of something special 🍾🌸

This time it’s the beautifully crisp and celebratory Larkhill Vineyards 2020 Sparkling Rosé—perfectly chilled, perfectly timed, and made even better knowing it comes from one of the closest vineyards to Kingscote Barn. Local and delicious.

Looking for the perfect red for your wedding breakfast or next special occasion? Our pick this week is Rioja — elegant, food-friendly, and full of character.

Here’s a quick guide to the three key Rioja styles:

✨ Crianza
Aged for at least 2 years (with at least 1 year in oak), Crianza is youthful, fruit-forward, and easy-drinking.

🍇 Reserva (Lee’s Recommendation)
Aged for at least 3 years, including 1 year in oak, Reserva offers a beautiful balance of ripe fruit, spice, and complexity. This is the level we recommend looking for if you want that elevated expression of Rioja.

🥂 Gran Reserva
Aged for at least 5 years (including 2 in oak), these wines are layered, silky, and often reserved for truly special moments.

⭐ Why Lee loves Reserva for a wedding breakfast red:
