i hosted my first-ever supper club last month!!! i had been toying with the idea for a long time because so many of you wanted to try my food but couldn’t make it to bath just for a takeaway. ‘s dm and his love for kari laksa gave me the push i needed! 🫸🏻🫷🏻
i couldn’t believe how far my baby, .uk , has come since i founded it in september 2023. i would always reach the maximum number of orders for my takeaways, and some of you even came all the way from bristol to get yummy malay food from me. i was so touched by the amount of support i received 🥹
as for the s**a suki supper club, it became a reality thanks to ben , one of the most creative people i know in the gastronomy business, who wanted to collab with .uk to create an exciting malay-japanese 5-course evening! 🇲🇾🎌 thanks for believing in me!
we sold out!!! at first i thought no-one would wanna come and stuff themselves with 5-course of delicious food, but i was wrong 🤠 there were a few people who wanted to book after it was sold-out but i had to disappoint them (pls come to the next one 👀!) as we had to keep the evening manageable 🫶🏼
everything went smoothly because we were so lucky to have and , who were god-sent helpers both in the front and back of the house. my good friend and sister, sonila from allowed us to use her beautiful space for our special evening, bestie used her genius talent to design our poster and for her gorgeous kain batiks and place mats ⭐️ a billion thank yous 💌
and of course, i must thank my friends and my loyal customers, old and new, who have been supporting .uk and spent their evening with us—it means the 🌏 to me! terima kasih daun keladi
so, what’s next? i apologize for not being able to do my fortnightly takeaway consistently these days, but something’s cooking in bath city centre, and it smells like rendang! 👁️👁️🥥🌺
