We are delighted to announce the private sale of our tup lamb Midford Glare to the highly renowned Calcott flock! Glare took 1st place at Yorkshire, 3 Counties & Wales and 2nd at the National, he’s had a great summer for us and we wish Calcott all the best with him too!

Sired by our stock ram Marlbrook Django, we are delighted to see him breeding so well! We have a couple of lambs by him forward for Ludlow sale in 2 weeks time!

Great final outing of the summer for the Kerry’s at The National Show at Burwarton!

Midford Flare was second in a class of 20 to a Woodhouse Yearling who then went on to take Breed and Interbreed Champion! Midford Glare was second placed ram lamb to Micheál & Zoe’s lamb!

Well done to everyone involved in such a great show of Kerry’s! Thanks to Ellie for all the help! Next stop Ludlow Sales with the first team to be offered from our flock…

A scorching week at the Welsh for our Kerry team!

Midford Glare continued his winning streak taking 1st in the Ram Lamb class, taking the Old Byre Cup for the best Ram Lamb and then Reserve Male Champion. Later in the week we were delighted to see him shortlisted into the final shortlist for Interbreed Ram lamb.

Our shearling ewe Midford Flare stood second once more to Ellie Owens’ Shearling ewe who later took Breed Champion, congratulations to Ellie once again.

We were honoured to have these 2 sheep chosen to represent the breed alongside a cracking ewe lamb from S John & Family for The Lloyd Family Interbreed Group Cup. We were delighted to take reserve behind the Beulah’s for this trophy!

Thanks to Ellie for coming down to help! One more stop for the Kerry’s this year with the National at Burwarton next week before we take our first ever team to Ludlow sale later in the year! Keep an eye on the page for details…

Great Yorkshire show success for the Kerry Hill flock!

First in a strong ram lamb class was our tup lamb Midford Glare. In the huge shearling ewe class Midford Flare took 2nd to Ellie Owen’s female which went on to take Breed and Interbreed Champion!

Well done to Ellie for a great week flying the flag for the Kerry’s in the interbreeds and to Jackson Carrs for their Champion with the Hereford!

Now down at Wales for a quiet week with just a few Kerrys and an Exmoor onboard!

Delighted to see Midford Whizzbang breeding so successfully over the water. Positive feedback continues to flow in on this boy and he still stands in the NCBC. He is now available over in the UK through Owain Lyr Livestock.

Bit late on the Three Counties post but it was a busy one and took some getting over!

Midford 1 Crackerjack, won his class before taking Reserve Junior Male Champion behind a great young bull from Dendor who went on to be Overall Male Champion.

Over in the Kerry ring, Midford Flare won the yearling ewe class and took female champion! Our ram lambs were 1st and 3rd with our class winner Midford Glare taking Reserve Male Champion to the Overall Champion from the John Family! We also had 3rd with our ewe lamb ‘Gucci’.

Thanks to Ellie, Hillary and everyone else who laid a hand for your help! The team is enjoying a few weeks break now, then up to the Yorkshire…

🔥 Looking for a new herd 🔥

Midford 1 Cicero, 18 months old and ready for work! Super shapely, correct & balanced young bull with perfect markings and loads of breed character. His sire is Kinglee 1 The New One, who has also sired this seasons show bull 'Crackerjack' amongst many other notable calves. The New One's daughters have been calving down here and with our customers and all have had perfect udders and great milk!

Cicero is from one of our Emma Jane cows, she too is super correct balanced cow with a perfect udder and always weans the heaviest calf. He has been outwintered and not seen hard feed since weaning. We really rate this young bull and would love to see him go to either a pedigree, dairy or suckler herd...

Located in Bath, high health status for Johnes, Lepto, IBR & BVD. TB tested ready to go!

A great trip down to Royal for our small but select team!

Midford 1 Crackerjack won a big autumn 24 born Hereford Bull class before taking Male, Exhibitor Bred and Overall Breed Chmapionship! Thanks to Jimmy Speirs for coming down to judge an to Archie Roberts for all his help!

Over in the sheep rings we just took a small team of 2 Exmoors. Our tup lamb took 1st in the Exmoor ram lamb class and 5th in the Interbreed Ram Lamb Competition! Our shearling ewe won her class and went on to take Female and Reserve Breed Champion! Thanks to Janey and Ross for doing an excellent job showing in our sheep classes!

Overall a great week down in Cornwall! Now the Kerry’s are back in the team ready for Three counties!

All eyes on the sheep at Bath & West this week!

Midford Flare our Kerry shearling ewe was 1st in class before taking Female and Breed Champion! We also took 1st placed ewe lamb with our ewe lamb and second and third with our tup lambs. Our tup lamb then went on to take Reserve Male Champion too.

In the Exmoors our little team did well getting 2nd in both the tup lamb and ewe lamb classes. Both these lambs were part of the interbreed champion team of 6 lambs! Thanks to all who helped, stewarded or judged!

Looking forward to our first cattle show of the year, with The Royal Cornwall Show for a young bull this week!

Great start to show season with just two sheep in tow today for North Somerset

1st Placed Yearling Kerry Ewe of 12 forward with Midford Flair, who went on to be Champion Kerry Hill and shortlisted in the Native Interbreed!

2nd with our Exmoor Shearling ewe in a strong class of ‘Any Other Hill & Heath’!
