Canning our Wild & Free 0% cider.

Alcohol, no. Cider, YES!

This isn’t bittersweet apple juice concentrate + water passing off as non-alc cider. This is full and long fermented fresh cider, just none of the alcohol.

One of our hero fruit blends, ABC - Apples, Berries, Cherries made from super fresh fruit, direct straight from 100% British growers.

It’s sweet, sour, sherbetty and giving homemade jam and juice with all the fresh flavours with a dry little finishing kick.

RUSHWOOD 💙 Our dry-ish fresh juice cider

Like a lot of our west ciders, it’s fermented/matured over around a 12 month period to build character, wind the tannin down and give the full flow of time to let all the wild yeast and natural bacteria to do their thing.

Tasting: Kicks off with a zippy fresh apple driven sweetness (that’s the ish bit) and finishes with long tannic drivin dry right up until the crisp cut ending.

In the Cidery this week...

1. Filling bag in boxes, the cask of the cider world. Still, hazy, classic cider. Super sustainable filling in bulk for pubs to serve on handpulls (or straight out the tap in the garden)

2. Fresh apple fermentation to make hazy cider. Once we’ve been through the months and months of long spontaneous wild fermentation we take that liquid and start to pull it into the the blends we know and love. Unlike the clear manufactured concentrated cider ours is heavy with sediment, lees (used up yeast) and bits of apple. With the pre-filter the cider zig-zags its way through sheets catching what doesn’t make it through the holes (this is about .8 microns) before a polish filter takes it to absolute bright and crystal clear. That’s totally reflected in the finished cider. Gets zippy.

3. We work closely with growers of the best fruits, we will often take it in raw and pack it house to store briefly before blending. Fresh fruits take work to ensure they’re kept fresh and not killed with processing.

4. Blending! Alpho Loco in the mix. When working with the fresh fruits we will bang them in last min before stabilizing and packing to keep all that extra punch and top tones only fresh fruit delivers
