Planning your wedding reception drinks? Here’s a simple guide to getting your champagne & wine just right 🥂

✨ Champagne (or sparkling)
Allow 1 glass per guest for the toast. If you’re serving it during the reception too, plan for approx half a bottle per person.

🍷 Wine
A good rule of thumb is ½ a bottle per guest for the meal (that’s about 2–3 glasses each).
Split it roughly 60% white and 40% red — or adjust depending on your menu and crowd.

⏱️ Timing matters
Longer receptions = more drinks. If your celebration stretches over several hours, consider increasing your totals slightly.

👥 Know your guests
Are they big wine lovers? Prefer cocktails or beer? Tailor your order to match the vibe of your crowd.

💡 Top tip
It’s always better to have a little extra than run out — but don’t overdo it. Many suppliers offer sale-or-return options, so ask!
