We have an exciting new fencing and hedging project here at Mill Close.

This project will allow greater cattle integration, increasing the land we can graze over winter. This is alongside introducing cover crops to improve soil structure and feed the cows over winter.

This is working towards a lower input system changing their diet to produce greater feed efficiency and a more year round natural diet for the Angus breed.

The hedging will create further habitats for birds, animals and insects that are so vital to for us to protect across the agricultural landscape

Happy Christmas to all our followers. A mild and dry autumn and winter has allowed us to overwinter some of the cows and calves this year. The weather has helped with less straw from our wheat and barley harvest this year. Here they are coming in, in order to wean some of the calves.
