We've got some stunning new English wines on our shelf just in time for
St George's Day.
We reckon that if the man himself wasn't busy racing around slaying dragons, he'd be chilling in the garden with a 2024 Pinot Noir, crafted in Cambridgeshire from Williams Family Wines.
An inviting melody of ripe red berries, cherries, plum and a subtle blend of spice, refined for seven months in a combination of English and French Oak.
OR.... Maybe he'd kick back with a glass of 2024 Chardonnay from their boutique vineyard.
This delivers a blend of zesty citrus, crisp green apples and delicate hints of vanilla.

We're often asked for English wines and now you can try these new arrivals to our shop.
They really are a lovely drop !

We've got stacks of brand new wine in the shop and we take our job very seriously, so Chick has accepted the task of sampling one of the new wines to our shelves.
This one is a Chenin Blanc, with a very cool label.
This iconic grape from South Africa is Chick's cup of tea !
This is a very versatile white, smooth and creamy with notes of white melon, citrus and ripe peach.
Prefect on it's own, or pair with white fish, BBQ bork or a big bowl of peanuts !
( Chicks plan tonight ! )

Larry the naughty ladybird has escaped from our Easter hamper and is hiding on one of our shelves in the shop.
So when you pop in for all your fabulous wine for Easter, keep your eyes peeled.

If you find him, it's really up to you how you deal with him. He's yours now, as will be all his brothers and sisters ( probably all naughty too ) so think carefully about whether you can deal with a bunch of rogue ladybirds causing havoc in your house just before Easter.

If you're up for the challenge ,come and track him down,
and on the plus side, you'll get a bottle of our very own Flying Cork Prosecco and some choccy treats to take home.
Pop in for a bottle of something good and don't forget to look for Larry !🐞

Mother's Day is just round the corner and if you haven't got something to spoil the most amazing lady yet, then don't worry, we've got your back.
New in is this ' Danger Bay'
Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa.
Chick is a little in love with this stuff right now.❤️
It's silky smooth, unoaked, and packed with flavours of gooseberries, fresh lime and pear drops from the sweetshop!
This is lovely on its own or would be great served with nibbles directly to the sofa whilst Mum watches her favourite film !
If you want a bottle of this, you'd better be quick though before Chick guzzles it all !

The sun has got his hat on and that means only one thing, it's time to switch out your favourite red wine and try something a little lighter.
PAPIA Pinot Grigio is new to our shelves and it's a must try.
This is something a little different.
Bursting with fresh, juicy red apples and floral hints, this Italian white is crisp, clean and effortlessly drinkable.
A really lovely drop, and it's almost Wednesday, which means it's almost half way through the week, which means it's almost, nearly the weekend ! ( Almost )...

Did you know that it never rains on St Cuthbert's Street ?...
Ok, that's not strictly true, but there's lots of great places to escape the soggy weather.
Spring up your umbrella, pop on your wellies and come and visit some of the best un**es in town.
You'll find wonderful wine, banging beer, beautiful bagels, sensational sourdough loaves and luscious lunches all in one street !
Oh, and we all love dogs too so bring your pooch for a mooch.
We'd all love to see you !

Sixty Clicks 2023 Shiraz tonight.
This is a firm favourite in the Barnes household.
This is a really expressive, bright Aussie Red.
The nose is soft, with a palate of fresh bramble & cherry fruit that leads to a twist of spicy, chocolatey heaven !
Sound good ?....
Mmmmmmmm
We're open 11 -7pm tomorrow as usual.
Pop in and grab a bottle of loveliness to enjoy.
Don't forget to bring the dog if you have one too. 🐾

For anyone who has left it to the bitter end to buy Christmas gifts, have no fear because we're right here !
