📣 A MESSAGE TO OUR LOYAL DESSERTBOSS CUSTOMERS 📣
Dear Bossers,
I wasn’t going to address this publicly. I have stayed quiet for several weeks because I have always believed the best way to respond to situations like this is to remain professional and continue focusing on my own business and customers. In the past 7 years I have had to endure threats or violence, death threats and even threats to set my van on fire. But never felt that I needed to bring this to public knowledge as I have dealt with them accordingly.
However, during the past few weeks, I have received more than 40 messages from loyal and concerned customers who believed another van was connected to Dessertboss.
Customers have told me that this van has been painted in very similar colours to ours, is trading under the name Mr Ice Boss, and has started visiting many of the same locations that Dessertboss has proudly served for more than seven years.
I have even received reports that the similarities are intentional because of the loyal following Dessertboss has built. If true, I find that incredibly upsetting. I have spent years building this business from the ground up—not just creating a recognisable pink van, but earning your trust through hard work, consistency, quality products and genuine customer care.
I would therefore like to make it completely clear:
Mr Ice Boss has absolutely no connection to Dessertboss.
They are not part of our business, they do not use our trusted suppliers, and they do not offer the extensive dessert menu that we have worked so hard to create and perfect.
Most importantly, I am upset that some customers have felt confused or misled into believing that this other van is connected to us. Nobody should purchase from another business believing they are supporting Dessertboss or expecting the same products, service and standards they have come to know from us.
We would never tell anybody which business they should or shouldn’t use. We simply ask that you make an informed choice and remember:

Dessertboss is about far more than the colour of our van or the places we visit. It represents more than seven years of dedication, year-round service, trusted products, an extensive menu and the wonderful relationship we have built with our communities.
It is heartbreaking to see someone create something so similar to a business I have sacrificed so much to build. While certain things may be copied, the history, reputation, relationships and loyal Dessertboss community behind our brand cannot be copied.
To every person who contacted me, warned me, defended the Dessertboss name or simply continued supporting us—thank you. Your loyalty means more to me than I can put into words.
Independent businesses survive because their communities choose to stand behind them. I sincerely hope you will continue supporting the original Dessertboss and the business you have helped me build over the past seven years.
We will continue doing what we have always done: turning up, serving you throughout the year, offering the quality and choice you expect, and giving every customer the genuine Dessertboss experience.
