After four decades of leading Alliance W**e, our founder and chairman, 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿, has announced his retirement. Since founding the company in 1984, Chris has built the business into one of the UK's leading independent w**e importers — most recently recognised as Wholesaler of the Year 2025 (Harpers) and Fine W**e Merchant of the Year 2026 (Sommelier W**e Awards).

Sourced from 75-year-old bush vines planted in the ancient Maslin Sands of Blewitt Springs, this is Grenache at its most pure and powerful. Light yet intense, silky yet structured. Awarded 98 points, reviewer Gabrielle Poy described it as “𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘐’𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦.”
