Well what an evening! Thanks to all who booked on and came to our ‘Evening on the Flower Farm’ event. The solar eclipse may have been a big fail here yesterday but this evening totally made up for it with beautiful evening sun and dramatic clouding sunset.

Everyone truly immersed themselves in their flower harvesting and arranging and created fantastic vases to take home. With a bride for whom we had down flowers for a number of years ago to one whom we are doing flowers for in a couple of weeks to everyone in between.

We enjoyed mindful reset walk around our woodland trail before a guided talk through the flower beds. Then all were let loose with snips and bucket in hand before returning for an arrangement demo and homemade cinnamon bun and fresh picked herbal tea. Then everyone had the time and space to make their own arrangement before finishing up around the campfire to relax.

We will definitely be running it again soon so keep an eye on this space and spread the word.

‘Book the event then build the venue!’ That was the mentality for our first ever Flower Club on the farm. Late the night before I was still building benches and making a sun shade but I all came together and everyone enjoyed!

We are running Flower Club on the farm every Friday 10-11:30 through the bloom season. Please DM to book your spot.

We are starting a wholesale flower hub in Belfast where you can buy locally grown flowers and foliage in one handy location!

Evenings at the farm are magical. It was too hot to get much done today but we did what we could before escaping for the long weekend.

When we return it will be full speed ahead - sales will be in full swing whilst keeping on top of all the jobs in the field and also planning 2027 and starting seeds for next season in the midst of the hecticness. It’s nuts but then evenings like this, nipping out solo to cut the grass and a few stems, are so good for the soul.

I hope everyone is finding ways to enjoy this nice weather and stopping to see the beauty in nature around them. ❤️🌻

At Sow Grateful Flower Farm we are trying to build something more than just our fabulous seasonal cut flowers. We have a range of projects and potential enterprises on site now and have gathered the most wonderful, knowledgeable people to be part of what we are creating. We’ll share more about it soon but our big aim is to open our site for events and learning within our space

Honeybees are a great addition to what we have on the farm. They have great forage from what we grow and our close proximity to the city means there is loads of diversity for them. Their honey is of course an amazing byproduct too and if we can get ourselves better and processing then we will@hopefully be able to offer it soon
