This October, our friends at are bringing back their annual Comfort in a Cup campaign, raising vital funds to support people and families affected by cancer.

Tea is a small but special part of the Charis experience. It’s a moment to sit down, take a breath, have a chat and feel a little bit at home.

So this year, we’re very proud to be donating 20,000 cups of Thompson’s Tea to help keep the kettle on throughout the campaign. ❤️

And you can get involved too!

Host your own Comfort in a Cup event with friends, family, neighbours or colleagues. Pop the kettle on, add a sweet treat or two, and raise some money while you’re at it. ☕️🍰

We’re supporting Charis Cancer Care Comfort in a Cup campaign this October, helping to raise £20,000 to bring comfort and support to people affected by cancer.

Getting involved can be as simple as putting the kettle on. Gather your friends, family or colleagues, host your own tea fundraiser and turn a cosy cuppa into something that gives back. ☕️

ANOTHER AWARD-WINNING TEA! 🙌

We’re delighted to announce that our Peppermint Soothing Tea has won a silver award today at the Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards.

There’s a rigorous process of blind tasting with a state-of-the-art scoring system involved, so we’re particularly excited to see this herbal tea join the ranks of our multi-award-winning lineup.

Today is the day! We are finalists in this year’s Blas na hÉireann! 🥳

We’ve made the long drive from Belfast to Di**le for this year’s awards, proudly cheering on both Thompson’s Peppermint Tea and Thompson’s Punjana. We’re especially delighted to see Thompson’s Peppermint Tea nominated for the third year in a row! 

Blas na hÉireann is judged entirely through blind taste testing by an expert panel, making this recognition very special to us.

For over 130 years, every Thompson’s blend has been taste-tested by a member of the Thompson family before it reaches our customers. It’s a tradition that reflects what has always mattered to us, putting quality and great taste at the heart of every cup.

A huge congratulations to all our fellow finalists. We’re looking forward to celebrating the very best of Ireland’s food and drink together in Di**le!

They do amazing things at Charis Cancer Care and we are delighted to once again sponsor the Comfort in a Cup Campaign 🫖❤️

We recently had the privilege of hearing from two clients of Charis Cancer Care, who shared their remarkable journeys with the charity.
They also spoke about how, in addition to the incredible services they offer, the simple act of a cup of tea means so much to them during their time there.

Charis is a centre that provides person-centred care for everyone whose lives are affected by cancer - from diagnosis onwards, including families and supporters. Their services cover complementary therapies, psychological support, and emotional care, and this year Charis hopes to raise £100,000 through our Comfort in a Cup campaign.

Every year they pop the kettle on to provide an amazing 20,000 cups of Thompson’s Tea, and so we are inviting you to hold your own Comfort in a Cup themed event this October to help raise vital funds so that when someone walks through our doors, they receive the comfort, care and compassion they deserve - one sip at a time.
