There’s a big difference between picking up a packet of meat and buying it from somebody who actually prepares it.

At Barkins we still do things the traditional way.

We butcher our meat.

We make our sausages.

We make our burgers.

We make our pies.

And we’re here behind the counter to help you choose what you actually need.

Thank you to everyone in Benfleet and beyond who continues to support a proper independent butcher.

It keeps shops like ours doing what we do best.

Buying your mince from your local butcher means you know where it’s coming from, it’s freshly prepared and you’re getting good quality meat – not just something that’s been sitting pre-packed on a supermarket shelf.

Whether it’s for a cottage pie, chilli, bolognese or homemade burgers, good mince makes a difference.

Pop in and get yours fresh from the butcher. 🔪
