Kent’s original vineyard, Biddenden has been owned and managed by the Barnes family since 1969. Today the vineyard is run by the second & third generations of the family, combining over 50 years of wine and cider making expertise with modern techniques, producing award-winning still and sparkling quality English wines, ciders and juices. Set in the heart of the Garden of England, The Vineyard Shop

is open year-round and well stocked with Biddenden’s own ranges alongside specially selected local & artisan food & drink products. Our Self-Guided Tours are available May-September, along with pre-booked Private Tours Wednesday-Saturday. Next weekend we’re looking forward to returning to the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match 🚜

We’ll be serving our wines, ciders and juices all day and, alongside the ploughing, there is so much more to see and do with the show also hosting a true “Thelwellian” gymkhana, Farmers’ Market and a variety of events in the main ring. 2026 will see the return of the popular Countryside Area where you will find rural and local agriculturally connected stands, and back by popular demand, the return of the Fun Dog Show!

Savour the summer while you sample locally produced cider from Kent producers and listen to a great mix of music and bands in our festival field. We’ll be here all weekend, serving up our Biddies fruity ciders, Strong Kentish Cider and a selection of our speciality range.

This isn’t your usual sales job! Your days will be varied,and you will need to be adaptive to the different seasons as we transition through the year. The role’s primary focus will be on-trade sales across the southeast and therefore this is a field-based role.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and a passion for selling the whole Biddenden range, building relationships with new and existing customers. Someone who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be reactive in delivering the best customer experience possible, reporting monthly on goals and targets.

Join us for a Self-Guided Tour to explore at your own pace (no pre-booking required but booking is now also available online) or experience a guided tour with our friendly guides who will lead you on a journey of discovery around our vineyard and winery, culminating in a tutored tasting of 6 specially selected wines. Available daily at 11 and 2, or 12 on Sundays, book your place now!

IT’S TIME FOR CHAPTER 57 🥂

After an incredibly quick sell out of our Biddenden Ortega Chapter 56, we are pleased to introduce our new release; Biddenden Ortega Chapter 57, launched as we celebrate our 57th Birthday!

The latest limited edition wine in our Ortega series, Biddenden Ortega Chapter 57 is produced from single varietal Ortega, harvested from the original plantings by Joyce and Richard Barnes. These particular vines are the oldest and most established on the Biddenden estate and in the country.

One of the first varieties planted here at Biddenden by Joyce and Richard in 1969, Ortega is of significant importance to our vineyard and has become our signature variety with 5 distinctly different single varietal Ortega wines crafted at Biddenden. Each year, we release a new, small release, limited edition fully dry wine in our ‘Chapter’ series.

A true old vine wine, celebrating our heritage in every vintage.
