We are proud to announce that not one, not two but FIVE Biddenden wines have been awarded medals this week in The Decanter World Wine and Wines of Great Britain 2026 Awards!

The world’s largest wine competition, the Decanter World Wine Awards offers a unique snapshot of global wine quality with every medal-winning wine passing through a rigorous multi-stage judging process. This year our Dornfelder 2024 and Ortega Chapter 56 were both awarded 90 points each, receiving silver medals.

Organised and run by WineGB, the WineGB Awards are dedicated solely to English and Welsh wines with winners showcased alongside their peers, helping to elevate the status of wines produced here to customers all around the globe. Biddenden Gamay Noir 2025 was awarded a silver medal with our Ortega 2024 taking bronze.

Entered into both competitions, our ever popular Schönburger dessert wine, has been the star of the show, with the 2025 vintage coming home with two silver medals. Light blush in colour, this sweet wine is made with late harvest grapes which have been left on the vine to develop higher natural sugars.
