We have recently become aware of comments made about us that are both deeply disappointing and entirely unacceptable. As a result, we will be reviewing—immediately and decisively—the criteria under which we allow access to our rams.
We invest significant time, expertise, and financial commitment into developing our flock. Until now, we have chosen to share that work openly, supporting others in strengthening their breeding programmes for the good of the breed as a whole. That openness should not be mistaken for naivety.
It is both disheartening and telling that individuals who have directly benefited from our generosity have seen fit to criticise us behind our backs. That lack of integrity and respect will not be overlooked.
Going forward, access to our rams or ewe livery will be strictly limited. We will work only with breeders who demonstrate genuine commitment, professionalism, and a shared ethos of stewardship for the future of the breed.
We will continue to acknowledge and credit those breeders whose stock we have been fortunate to work with—something we consider a basic standard of respect. It is regrettable, though not surprising, that not all operate to the same standard.
