It’s pretty much accepted that broccoli is good for you. What blows my mind is that it’s a man-made vegetable created through centuries of selective breeding by ancient farmers, meaning it does not grow wild in nature.

How amazing has the weather been this summer so far? ☀️

With the school holidays now here, the roads are a little quieter, which means we can whizz around even more efficiently delivering fresh fruit and veg to our wonderful customers. The fruit in particular this year has been va va voom! 😋

We’ve never been busier, and that’s all thanks to the incredible support of our customers and the dedication of our everyone that is part of The Fruit and Veg Man. We pride ourselves on going the extra mile, delivering not just fresh produce, but exceptional customer service every single day.

Thank you for keeping us so busy – we wouldn’t have it any other way!

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨

After 6 years in business, tens of thousands of happy customers, two Luton Business of the Year awards, thousands of deliveries, market stalls, office fruit boxes, a Dobbies store, a Frosts store, and enough bananas to build a small yellow mountain…

We have finally received our first ever non-5-star Google review. 🎉🍌

Sadly, it wasn’t from an actual customer.

Instead, it appears a mysterious individual called “Dan Brown” emerged from the shadows of the internet to write what can only be described as a work of fiction. Coincidentally, this also appears to be the first and only review on their account. What are the chances? 🤔

The review claimed we buy all our produce from Asda. Which is news to us, our suppliers, our staff, and the thousands of customers who have watched us unloading produce from wholesale markets at silly o’clock in the morning for the last 6 years.

To be honest, we’re not even mad.

If anything, we’re quite proud. Every established business gets its first questionable 1-star review eventually. It feels a bit like a rite of passage.

The good news is that genuine customers continue to support us every day, and we’re incredibly grateful for every one of our hundreds of real reviews and loyal customers.

So thank you, Dan. You’ve given us a good laugh, some social media content, and a reminder that if this is the worst thing that happens this week, we’re doing alright.

Summer fruit season is definitely our favourite part of the year for fruit! I’m so proud of the team we are building to keep our amazing customers healthy and hydrated. With the explosion of all things A.I - I can say some things will never change - such as our commitment to human connection and interaction over something as simple and beautiful as fruit and veg. Life is so much better when we just talk. This photo was taken by one of our staff members, Ness - who has a masters in Art. I asked her to take a photo with the theme of “summer” and this was the result! Thanks Ness!
