🐟 Why has cod become so expensive lately? 👀

It’s a question we get asked all the time…

Fresh fish prices have risen massively over the last few years due to tighter fishing quotas, higher transport costs and increased demand for proper fresh cod.

But one thing we won’t do at George’s is lower our standards 👊

We only use fresh cod delivered straight from Billingsgate and prepared fresh in-house every single day.

And trust us… when cod is fresh, you can taste the difference straight away. Soft flakes, delicate texture and proper quality 💯

Very soon we’ll also be introducing fresh hake & chips 👀🐟
