Now the sun has set on 2025 we look forward to seeing all our friends from around the UK at shows, sales or just doing what we do best, leaning on a wall, gate, rail, fence or anything that will hold us up whilst talking for hours about nothing much!

Wherever you are, from all of us at Greenhill we wish you health and happiness for 2026!

Happy New Year!🥳

Showing 2025 Over and Out, We attended Nidderdale Show at Pateley Bridge on Sunday, the last of the 'dales' shows. A beautiful sunny day after a deluge of rain the day before.

It was unbelievable to think that the River Nidd had broken its banks in the early hours, onto the showfield, but by everyone's arrival it was back to almost normality thanks to many peoples efforts, and we started showing an hour late, but who was bothered? Time for a brew before we started.

There was 5 breeders in attendance, including the Roper family who had got up at god only knows what time to get there from almost Whitehaven, the rest of us being within about an hour.

Very happy with our results,
2nd Tup lamb
1st Aged or Shearling Ram in partnership with Brookdene Zwartbles and Hayberries Zwartbles
2nd Gimmer Lamb
1st Shearling Gimmer

The Shearling Gimmer then went on to be Champion, well done to Tracy Harsley for her reserve with her 2nd place Gimmer, and thank you Issy Hartley for coming and judging and then showing her Belgian Blues very successfully.

No Masham Sheep Fair for us this year, so this was our last show day out, and as usual was very enjoyable seeing lots of friends before we all shut down a bit for the winter.
