We would love to cater your next event so please get in touch 📞📧 ChangeKitchen CIC is a more-than-profit Social Enterprise (a CIC = Community Interest Company). It was set up by the well-established Birmingham charity, SIFA Fireside (www.sifafireside.co.uk) and Dr Birgit Kehrer, the brains and the hands behind BSustained. ChangeKitchen has already established itself as a popular choice in the private, public and voluntary sectors to cater for weddings, civil partnerships, conferences, lunches, birthday parties and more. A lot of bookings come from guests at events. If you would like food with a difference to make your event special, you are advised to book well in advance if possible. If you have any queries or would like any advise about choosing ChangeKitchen as your caterer, have a chat with Birgit on 07828 825 850. Birgit passes on her skills to trainees, without compromising what she is most passionate about: the quality of the food. Our Heroes have been working super hard to fulfil a fantastic order (just 11,600 jars!!) from Ethstat Ethical Stationery CIC for their .

Last week, they went above and beyond as we were asked for an additional 200 jars for further client order - did we do it?! YES WE DID!! 🤩

This is what happens when you work with like-minded organisations like .

We met at the SOCIAL ENTERPRISE VILLAGE earlier this year, and here's the result of that conversation!!

ChangeKitchen CIC has today announced its certification as a B Corporation (or B Corp*), joining a growing movement of companies that are reinventing business for the benefit of all people and our shared planet.

Birgit Kehrer, CEO and founder of ChangeKitchen CIC, says, “Since our inception in 2010, ChangeKitchen CIC has proudly been a social enterprise through its legal status. That doesn’t change with our certification as a B Corp. Gen22 volunteers & our new kitchen manager Megan were cooking up a Makhani Daal style curry yesterday!

Richly spiced with plenty lots of cardamom, fenugreek, cloves, coriander and nutmeg - whilst integrating bucket-loads of surplus vegetables at the same time, this dish is a great example of learning how to improved and experiment in the kitchen, moulding flavours and dishes to the vegetables you have to hand, making sure nothing goes to waste!
