Prepping for tomorrow’s workshop with astrology/kundalini and lunch. I’ve made roasted tomatillo salsa (grown by me), cornbread, black bean soup, Mexican mac and cheese, Mexican brownies and probably doing a browned fig leaf butter cake. Tudor baking- pies and jumbles- cheese making- lighting the oven with a flint - collecting herbs and seeds- pottage making. All Kentwell Hall Tudor recreation in August. My Tudor name is Kat, I made myself a red wool kirtlea linen shift and cap, a linen apron. I wore flat handmade leather shoes and I didn’t wash for 2 weeks. When I’m baking or cooking, I wear a wool apron because it doesn’t catch fire. Many women throughout history have died from their skirts catching fire.
