ISLAND HOPPING // This New Zealand Pale Ale is wonderfully drinkable and a tip of the hat to Orkney's 70 Islands, each unique in their own way. We use all pale malt and lots of New Zealand hops to create this hoppy but still sessionable low strength beer.

SHOW WEEK

We are at the Dounby and County shows this week.

Dounby Show for take away cans in the Orkney Food and Drink area.

And at the County Show we’re back at the Society Bar with Orkney Gin Company and Orkney Street Food - Beiting & Brew.

Come and see us for cold, draught beers (we’ll announce which ones on Friday). The tent is a bit bigger this year—more space to shelter if the weather isn’t great.

OPENING HOURS FOR THE TAPROOM & BREWERY SHOP FOR AUGUST

This month we will be closed for a few private events and while we are at the Dounby and County Shows as follows:

1st of August, 6th of August, 8th of August, 14th of August and 22nd of August.

Our opening hours for August will be the same as July:

Monday to Thursday 11am to 4pm

Friday 11am to 5pm

Saturday 12pm to 5pm

Sunday 12pm to 4pm

ORKNEY IPA // India Pale Ales (IPAs) of old were heavily hopped to survive their journey to the colonies. This is Rob’s interpretation - believing the hops may have mellowed by arrival. Smooth and hoppy to the last drop.

🫈 Ever wanted to feel like a giant? Good news – peedie pint glasses have arrived! Just like a big Swannay glass, but smaller.

1/3 pint glasses are now available at the tap room. Perfect if you want to try a few beers or just have a wee one with a bite to eat. Also available to purchase for just £4 to keep the fun going at home.

Tasting paddles are on the way too, so keep your eyes peeled! 🍻
