Last minute tidying at Grow Blackpool before the RHS judges arrive tomorrow. A big thank-you to all our volunteers, Georgie from Myerscough college the Green Wave staff and the staff and learners from Hawthorn school who have come in the last few days to work on the farm.

We are on the final leg of preparation for being judged by Britain in Bloom on Tuesday the 16th
Grow Blackpool volunteers will be welcoming the judges on Tuesday and also visitors for the National Open Garden Scheme on the 20th of June 11am to 3pm to Grow Blackpool. Our talented volunteers have pulled out all the stops to create a beautiful green space full of crops, blooms and wildlife friendly corners for everyone to enjoy.

Our brilliant volunteers are working hard today to get Grow Blackpool looking its best for judging by Britain in Bloom next Tuesday. We will be welcoming many visitors who will coming for the National Open Garden Scheme on the 20th of June. We have been potting displays of potted plants, tomatoes and weeding our borders too.

Wow! Grow Blackpool our beautiful community garden is featured in the latest edition of Lancashire Life. 🌺

We will be opening the garden to the public as part of The National Open Garden Scheme on Saturday the 20th of June 11am to 3pm. All admission fees goes to charity. We will be selling our home grown perennials and plants and delicious cakes and refreshments.

Our volunteers have been very busy the last couple of days. We have been supporting a “Big Build” with The Northern Network @ working along with very talented volunteers from Multipave ltd and Beaverbrooks the Jewellers to build a community garden at a new Community Hub at N-Vision sight loss charity in South shore, Blackpool.
Thursday our volunteers are preparing the gardens for being judged by Britain in Bloom on the 16th of June. Lots of Laughs, brews and a lot of weeding.

The hot weather has doubled the size of our plants at Grow Blackpool. Great to see our community garden thriving and the hum of bees and baby blue t**s in the bird boxes. Our brilliant volunteers are preparing the garden today in readiness to be judged by the RHS Britain in Bloom and we will be opening our doors to the public on Saturday the 20th of June 11am as part of The National Open Garden Scheme.
