We’re celebrating seven years since we first opened the gates to Ridgeway Farm with our annual Family Fun Day!

This year, we’re delighted to welcome A New Lead On Life NW, a non-profit dog rescue based in Thornton. They’ll be raising vital funds for the rescue by hosting a fabulous Family Dog Show, with fun classes for dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities! 🐶🏆

We know many of you are fellow dog lovers, so why not bring your four-legged family members along? Enter them into the show and enjoy a fun-filled day out with all the family!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our first-ever Twilight Maize Maze!

It was so lovely to see so many of you enjoying our Traitors-themed maize maze, listening to the live music and, most importantly, spending quality time with your loved ones here at Ridgeway Farm.

Creating a place where families and friends can make special memories together is everything we ever set out to do. We have all worked incredibly hard—quite literally putting blood, sweat and tears into making evenings like this happen—so seeing you all having such a wonderful time made it completely worthwhile.

Thank you, one and all, for making our first Twilight Maize Maze such a special night. 🤠💚

I hope you’ve all survived the summer holidays! It’s back-to-school week—honestly, where have those holidays gone?

It’s also my birthday…well, not quite my birthday, but it is seven years since I first opened the gates to Ridgeway Farm! 🎉🚜

Over the past seven years, I’ve poured everything into creating a place where everyone can enjoy time together, make special memories and learn a little about food, farming and the environment.

I truly couldn’t have done it without your support. Whether you’ve visited our Pumpkin Festival, joined us for Lambing Live, enjoyed Festive Fun on the Farm, celebrated a birthday party or simply popped in for a family day out—thank you! Every visit has helped Ridgeway Farm grow into what it is today. 💚

🌙🌽 FRIDAY NIGHT: TWILIGHT MAIZE MAZE AT RIDGEWAY FARM!🌽🌙

The rain may be pouring today, but it certainly isn’t stopping us! We’re busy putting up hundreds of twinkling lights around the orchard, ready to create a magical atmosphere tomorrow evening. ✨

Even better—the forecast for tomorrow night is looking great! In fact, the conditions should be perfect for exploring Blackpool’s Biggest Maize Maze at twilight.

A few FAQs to put your mind at ease:

⏰ Do I have to arrive at 6pm?
No! The event runs from 6pm–9pm, and you can arrive anytime from 6pm. Last entry into the maze is 8pm, as it takes around an hour to complete.

🍕 What food will be available?
Fresh stone-baked pizzas, jacket potatoes with various fillings, hot dogs, sandwiches, toasted marshmallows, snacks, ice creams, milkshakes and hot and cold drinks.

🌧️ What if it rains?
The forecast currently shows no rain during the event, but our Big Barn will be available for shelter if needed.

🥾 Do we need wellies?
Wellies, old boots or old trainers are recommended following today’s rain—definitely leave your best white trainers at home!

🔦 Should we bring a torch?
Yes! It may still be light at 7:30pm, but darkness falls quickly and it will be very dark inside the maize by 9pm.

🧥 Will there be heating?
This is an outdoor working-farm event. We’ll have a few fire pits, but please bring a warm coat and perhaps a blanket.

🐕 Are dogs welcome?
Yes—well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Please clean up after them.

🐰 Will there be animal handling?
Our farm animals will be on view, but our smaller animals will be tucked up safely in bed, so there will be no animal-handling sessions.

🧺 Can we bring a picnic?
Sorry, no picnics are permitted—but our café will be serving a great selection throughout the evening.

🍾 Will there be a bar?
There won’t be a bar, but adults are welcome to bring their own drinks. Please drink responsibly and remember this is a relaxed, family-friendly event for families, couples and adults alike.

We may have had a little rain overnight, but it was only a splash! The ground is still dry, and today’s slightly cooler, overcast weather could make the conditions even better for tackling "Blackpool’s Biggest Maize Maze".

There’s plenty to enjoy around the farm, whatever the weather, including our popular undercover animal-handling sessions. 🐰🐹

We’re open 10am–4pm. Book online or simply pay at the gate—and once you’re here, you’re welcome to stay until closing time!

Little Millie is certainly making the most of her Summer Pass! 🤠🐄🌽

Apparently, it’s no longer Farmer Helen’s Farm…it’s Millie’s Farm, and I just work for her! 😜🤣

Be like Millie and come and explore Ridgeway Farm before it’s back-to-school time. No screens needed—just good old-fashioned outdoor fun and plenty of unconditional therapy from our friendly farm animals! ❤️

🐰 It’s safe to say that our animal-handling sessions are a huge hit! 🐹❤️

Our friendly rabbits and guinea pigs are accustomed to being handled and absolutely love meeting our visitors. They’re also very well cared for, with plenty of space, enrichment and time to relax when the sessions aren’t running.

Animal-handling sessions take place every day at:

⏰ 11:30am and 2:30pm

But who will be your favourite? With so many adorable little characters, you’ll be spoilt for choice! Will it be Snowball the rabbit, Mario the guinea pig, or perhaps our latest additions, Wallace and Gromit?
