Launceston Farm is nestled at the heart of the idyllic Tarrant Valley on the Dorset/Wiltshire border, within easy reach of the M3 and A303. The Farm offers stylish self catering holidays for up to 16 guests in three properties. The 12m indoor swimming pool and sauna provide hours of fun whatever the weather. All the properties are dog friendly and we provide a range of equipment and facilities for

families travelling with children. The award winning village pub is a five minute walk whilst sandy beaches at Bournemouth and Poole are half an hour's drive. As well as the indoor pool, guests have access to extensive walled gardens and play Orchard as well as miles of farm tracks and bridal ways to explore from the farm gate. Nearby attractions of Monkey World, The Tank Museum, Gold Hill at Shaftesbury and market towns of Salisbury, Sherborne and Wimborne Minster are all nearby. National Trust properties at Kingston Lacy, Corfe Castle, Stourhead and Studland Nature Reserve are firm favourites.

Let's tell you a little more about us.

Launceston Farm has been in Sarah's family since 1929, nestled here in the beautiful Tarrant Valley.

Nearly a century on, it's still very much a family affair. Alongside farming the land, the old farm buildings have been thoughtfully transformed into places to stay, gather, retreat and reconnect - all cared for and shared by our family and wonderful wider team.

The farm itself remains at the heart of everything we do. It's a working organic farm, with generations of knowledge and a deep connection to this landscape.

When you stay at The Farmhouse, you're staying somewhere that's been home to the same family for generations.

And we hope that by the time you leave, you'll feel a little less like a guest and a little more like a family friend.

The farm is quieter, the days are slower, and there's a little more time to stop and appreciate the things we’re usually too busy to notice.

Golden fields, long evenings, warm breezes and the occasional very welcome excuse to sit in the shade.

The harvest has come early this year, thanks to weeks of sunshine.

As the school holidays begin, Launceston Farm takes on a different kind of rhythm. The Farmhouse is full of guests enjoying time together - family holidays, long lunches in the garden, lazy afternoons by the pool, countryside walks, and making memories that only summer seems to bring.

For us, it's one of our favourite times of year. Seeing families slow down, reconnect, and enjoy everything the farm has to offer is exactly what The Farmhouse is all about.

While we're soaking up the sunshine and welcoming this summer's guests, we're already looking forward to next year.

Throughout February we will be offering farm visits for families staying with us. Feed the pigs, meet our organic Stabiliser cattle, learn about the wildlife living on the farm and find out more about our nature friendly farming.
