Delighted to read the accolade given UK cheddar in this weekend’s FT and in particular to Hafod made by Holden Farm Dairy. This organic Welsh cheddar has been our go to cheese for about 20 years and we have yet to find a better match for our Dabinett cider or the topping for our weekly pizza.

Thank You, Herefordshire!

What an incredible day. The Baton of Hope has completed its journey through Hereford, and we are so grateful to everyone who came out to support, cheer, walk, volunteer, and share in this moment of connection and hope.

From the morning tractor run, to the finale at St John's Methodist Church, every step carried with it powerful conversations, heartfelt support, and a united stand for mental health and su***de awareness.

A huge thank you to our baton bearers, local organisations, community groups, schools, volunteers, and the public for making it so special. You have helped shine a light of hope across our county.

Some images capturing the impact of our amazing summer just before we harvested our Thorn trees and the largest example of this variety we have harvested. We planted these trees just over 20 years ago when Bulmers were clearing some nursery stock. They were 10 years old then - which made them a nightmare to plant- so are just coming into their prime. In total we have about 35 trees on pyrus communis as we wanted to preserve something of the Herefordshire perry pear orchards of old. These have thankfully not so far succumbed to fireblight as neither has our main orchard on pyro dwarf.

France is a haven for food, drink and enjoying life …… and of course cycling. The Butford Organics elderly team have had a great 8 days cycling and camping- 400+ miles and the TdeF - although it was a little warm. 2 bottles of Cidre Bouche complete the experience. Unfortunately we now have to put our tent up.
