Next week see the arrival of our new 4% Guava Pale ‘Right Here Rignt Now!’ 😁

A super tasty cask ale hopped with El Dorado and packed with Guava, the result is a soft hoppy beer with tropical notes of Pear, Strawberry and Papaya! 😋

Closed for now.

Unfortunately we’re going to close the taproom on Saturdays for the foreseeable. We’re just not getting enough folk in to make it viable.

With wanting to keep the beer fresh every week we also have quite a lot of wastage.

You can still get your Northern Monkey fix at the bar on Nelson Square so not to worry! 😁🍻

The brewery is in good health and you can still book the taproom for any event/celebration that you may have coming up this year.

We’ve had a good number of bookings this year with lots of good feedback so please feel free to consider us in the future. 🙂

Open today from 12 noon on Smithills Open Farm! Come down and sink a couple of cold ones in the sun and why not have an ice cream whilst you’re at it! 🍻🍦

Don’t forget you can buy delicious homemade dairy products such as milk, ice cream, butter, yoghurts and other homemade bakery items from the Farm Shop without accessing the farm. 🥛🧈🍰

We are please to announce that we have teamed up with Smithills Open Farm and will have our mobile bar there ready to go this Saturday! 🥳 🐄

We will be serving up real ales, craft beers, lager, cider, wines and spirits. 🍻🍷 🥃

Of course, Smithills Farm will be selling their delicious homemade dairy products such as milk, ice cream, butter, yoghurts and other homemade bakery items! 🍦🍰🥛 🐄

You can buy from the bar and farm shop without accessing the farm. What’s not to like? 😜

So whether you are out for a walk in the beautiful local surroundings in the Woodland Trust - Smithills Estate, live nearby or further afield, come say hello, have a quick drink in the sun and take home some top quality local produce. Buying local is the way! 🌺 🌳 🐿️ 🌞

🚨BIG NEWS!🚨

Our taproom on Chorley Street will be reopening this Saturday from 2pm! 🍻😁 🥳

We’ve missed you all! Come down to say hello and sink a few of Northern Monkey’s finest! 😋

We will have our brand new beer ‘Sort Your Zappa Out’ available, freshly kegged this week!

It’s a 5% DDH Zappa pale loaded with tropical fruit, mango, passion fruit, citrus, and pine. 🤤🍋‍🟩🥭

Of course we will have cask ales, other craft keg, cider, gins, wines and spirits for good measure!

Let’s not forget the big Wanderers play off semi final against Bradford in the evening! Any customer showing a valid ticket for the match will receive 20% discount! ⚽️ 🙌🏻
