The Bournemouth weather might be doing its best impression of November, but inside Calabrese we’re fighting back the only way we know how… with proper Italian comfort food.
This week’s special panino is THE CONTADINO 🌶️
Layers of creamy mozzarella, spicy nduja, authentic friarielli, Salame Milano and a little peperoncino for a gentle kick. Rich, smoky, spicy and absolutely impossible to eat neatly. Just how we like it.
And because grey skies call for great pasta…
🍝 TUESDAY
Fusilli wrapped in our slow-cooked Ragù alla Bolognese. Tender beef simmered for hours, rich tomato sauce, plenty of parmesan and all the comfort of an Italian nonna’s kitchen.
🍄 WEDNESDAY
The return of our famous Truffle Pasta.
You asked. We listened. Silky pasta tossed in a luxurious truffle sauce that’s guaranteed to stop conversations halfway through a sentence.
🥓 THURSDAY
Amatriciana.
Crispy guanciale, sweet tomatoes, pecorino and a little chilli. Simple, traditional and packed with flavour. The sort of pasta that reminds you why Italians don’t mess about with unnecessary ingredients.
🍋 FRIDAY
Our Grilled Lemon Chicken returns.
Marinated, grilled and bursting with fresh lemon, herbs and sunshine. A little taste of summer, whatever the forecast says.

We never take for granted how lucky we are to call Bournemouth home. Every coffee, every panino, every takeaway pasta and every smiling face through the door means the world to us.
