Growing up caring for my mum who is Coeliac , (my brother is also lactose intolerant) going out shopping proved difficult as there was a limited variety of products, they were expensive and the taste wasn’t the best. Foodsake is hoping to solve this problem and make being freefrom a more pleasant experience. There is so much more to freefrom than what you see in the supermarket.
We are Foodsake, an e-commerce company, who provide a variety of freefrom products, recipe ideas and a forum for the freefrom community. We aim to offer a wider, tastier range of food and share recipes on our new online selling platform. We want to bring the small unique suppliers closer to the customers and really allow for a bespoke shopping experience; we want to give small companies a platform to market and sell their products, allowing them to grow without taking a significant risk which is often met when getting into a supermarket.
Our core beliefs are what we call our three C’s which are Community, creativity and compassionate, this is really what we are trying to convey through our website and our actions.
Over the past year, we have carried out extensive product and market research and found that our target customers find it very difficult to source quality and varied freefrom products. There is a notable lack of products in leading supermarkets resulting in the freefrom community feeling neglected.
