A little behind-the-scenes secret...
When we first started putting together raw chocolate kits, we quickly realised that the tools we use matter just as much as the ingredients. To make the process enjoyable, you need equipment that is simple, reliable, and deeply satisfying to use.
People often ask us how to get a beautifully glossy finish or a really crisp 'snap' on a homemade bar. The truth is, there is no complicated industry secret. We use high-quality, flexible silicone moulds, and we stock the exact same ones on our website for you to use in your own kitchen.
Depending on what you feel like creating, we have a few different styles to play with:
• The 5 Chunk & 10 Chunk Snap Bar Moulds: These are brilliant if you prefer a classic block. Each mould makes six chunky 60g chocolate bars with easy-to-break chunks. They are the perfect pair for our chunky hazelnut raw chocolate recipe.
• The Heart Swirl & Spiral Swirl Moulds: If you want to experiment with fun shapes or fillings, these are ideal. They feature 15 good-sized cells, giving you plenty of room to add a caramel centre or a subtle drop of organic rose essential oil.
Because they are so durable and flexible, they are completely multi-purpose. Once you have finished your chocolate making, they can easily be used for baking biscuits, creating wax melts, or even soap making.
