TERMS AND CONDITIONS
BOOKING FEE AND BALANCE PAYMENTS
Bookings are considered speculative until a booking fee is paid to secure the date and booking. A confirmation of booking fee receipt will be provided within 24 hours. Once the booking fee is received your booking will be confirmed. A booking fee of 30% is payable in order to confirm booking. If no booking fee is paid, no work will be undertake
n and other orders will be given priority with a risk of the date being unavailable. Booking fees and balance payments can be paid by PayPal or bank transfer (details will be provided)
Balance payments (total less booking fee paid) can also be made by cash on collection. Full payment must be made if an order is accepted at short notice. All prices are non-negotiable. In the event that any payment is subsequently declined, the order will not be completed or released until alternative funding arrangements have been agreed and payment is made in full. You will be responsible for the payment of any additional charges which have been incurred as a result of payment failure
Payment of the booking fee is taken as your acceptance of the cake price quoted and of the Terms and Conditions as stated. CANCELLATIONS
In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your order, please note that your booking fee payment is non refundable as other bookings may have been refused to allow me to bake for you. However, a transfer to another date may be considered if available. You must give at least two weeks notice prior to the date of collection. If no notice has been given within 2 weeks of collection date, the full payment will be due as some work may have already started, ie creation of models/sugar flowers and items may have been purchased for your bespoke cake. Requests to change the date of collection will be considered up to 2 weeks prior to collection and the request will be granted if practical. The booking fee is non refundable unless there is an emergency that leaves me unable to create your bespoke cake. In this circumstance, as much notice as possible will be given and a full refund issued. DESIGNING YOUR CAKE
All cakes are bespoke, handmade creations and as there are a multitude of colours, moulds, cutters and other equipment there may be some slight variation from the design requested or picture supplied, not only out of respect for the work of other cake artists but to ensure that your creation is unique for you and your someone special. Your cake will be created as specified in conversations and messages provided by you, please be sure that all of these details are accurate and as agreed before making your deposit payment. Should you wish to change the design of your cake you may do so up to 2 weeks prior to the collection date, any changes will be charged accordingly. No changes can be made less that 2 weeks before the specified date of collection. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate your wishes, please note that late changes cannot always be guaranteed. SOUTHAMPTON 6
Please be aware that food and drink containing any of the following E numbers now carry a warning as these may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children: Sunset yellow FCF (E110), Quinoline yellow (E104), Carmoisine (E122), Allura red (E129), Tartrazine (E102), Ponceau 4R (E124). COLLECTION
Your order may be collected at a pre-arranged time. i will do my best to accommodate your requested collection time. Please be sure to schedule your collection time accurately. If you feel that you are going to be later than planned, please contact me. When you or your representative collects the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it has left my possession. I am not liable for damage due to your handling once the cake has been collected. If your cake is damaged after it is in your possession, I will assess the damages and may, if circumstances allow, offer to fix the cake for you, further costs may be incurred depending on the severity of the damage to the cake. It should also be kept out of direct sunlight. When you have collected your cake, it should be transported in the box provided on a flat, clean surface (i.e. footwell or car boot). Due to the delicate nature of the cakes, care must be taken during transportation. No liability is accepted if damage occurs in transit. Extra care should be taken going around corners, over speed bumps, hills and potholes and to avoid harsh braking. On collection of your cake you will be asked if you are happy with your product. By taking your cake from our premises, you confirm you are happy with it’s condition and final overall presentation. Please ensure that the display location is level, stable and strong enough to hold the cake. Please consider that sugar paste, buttercream and chocolate all melt in the heat and should therefore be kept out of direct sunlight. ALLERGIES
At this current moment in time, I do not offer special dietary cakes. Please be aware that whilst your chosen cake may not be made with nuts or a nut product, it will be prepared in a kitchen where nut products may be used in other cakes and fillings. You are responsible for notifying me of any dietary restrictions prior to placing an order. Cakes are made in an environment where soy, egg, gluten, dairy, nuts and other allergens may be present. When specified by you, I will take all due care to keep allergy prone ingredients out of the kitchen area. I take no responsibility for allergies or complications due to consuming my products. You agree to notify your guests of this risk. Details of any allergens will be provided before an order is placed and will also be provided on collection. No responsibility is taken by me for allergic reactions after advice has been supplied. NON-EDIBLE ITEMS AND FRESH FLOWERS
Many cakes contain food safe non-edible items which may include (but are not limited to) dowels, florist wire, ribbons, straws etc. You will be advised of the placement of such items, however it is your responsibility to ensure that your venue / caterer / guests are aware that these items should be removed prior to consumption. I will only use flowers from the non-toxic lists. These may have been laid on/inserted into the cake with wrapped stems and posy picks/straws. All flowers should be handled with care and removed before serving. DISPUTES/COMPLAINTS/REFUNDS
All sales are final. In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your cake, I must be informed within 24 hours collection in order that any compensation may be assessed. I may offer a discount on a future order if at least 3/4 of the product is available and returned to me. Any refund given for disputes regarding a cake design or production of a design are at my discretion. Full refunds will not be given for any cake which has been consumed regardless of dispute, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied. If for some reason you deem the cake inedible and unfit for use, you will need to return the cake to my premises within one hour of purchase in order that the product can be examined. SOCIAL MEDIA
I reserve the right to use photographs of cakes made by them for advertising purposes, marketing and promotion of the business. This may include Social Media for example Facebook. I will however not publish pictures until after the date of your celebration so that I do not spoil your big reveal. REVIEWS

All cakes are baked to ensure it is fresh for the date of your event. However, I cannot guarantee the quality if consumed more than 3 days after collection. Fondant cakes should not be refrigerated as this will cause condensation to form on the surface and will affect the visual appearance of the cake’s finish. GDPR
When you contact me about ordering a cake, I have to collect a small amount of data, usually your name and contact details such as phone number. If you pay via online banking I do not hold your bank or card details or have access to them. I will never share your personal details with any other business.
