Mondays aren't usually a favourite day for anyone are they? It's the start of the working week for most people, if the weather is a bit grey and grim it doesn't put anyone in a good mood and the weekend just seems so far away!
But....today we had a lovely surprise visit from Buddy The Braintree Boar! He was tagged in our post the other week and decided to pop in today. He definitely made a Monday morning much brighter for us. Thanks Buddy! It was lovely to meet you!

We had the absolute privilege of catering for a very special event yesterday.
A long-term customer of ours, David, sadly passed away at the beginning of this year, and yesterday his family held a memorial service in his honour, which we were only too pleased to be involved with.
We've known David for nearly 14 years. From our beginnings in our little sandwich shop on Coggeshall Road, he quickly became one of our regular customers, and we saw him almost every day.
We loved hearing his stories and anecdotes from his travels — he visited more than 100 countries around the world! What an incredible life he must have lived, and it was a pleasure and a privilege to have known him.
Our thoughts remain with his family and friends 🥰

Hey pesto!
This week's special is a take on the caprese.... mozzarella, pesto, tomatoes and baby spinach. You just have to decide whether you'd like a bagel or a sandwich!

Please stand with us and other hospitality businesses who are trying to contend with so many price increases in recent times. Lowering VAT in hospitality, to be in line with other countries in Europe, will be a step in the right direction of keeping some costs down and helping us to all keep trading!

This week's special is a bit of a classic one. Pastrami, mustard, gherkins, tomato and rocket in a bagel, or sandwich if you'd prefer. Either way it's very scrummy!

We're always looking for ways to get our name out and about. Despite being in the town centre for nearly 14 years now, we still have people say they didn't realise we were even here!
So to try to raise our profile maybe we should follow this sandwich shop's idea and try to get some celebrity endorsement....but the question is whose name should we put on our board?!

This week's focus, apart from trying to keep cool, was this grazing table. We love the different colours, flavours and textures that a grazing table brings to any event!

We are now closed for the bank holiday weekend for a well earned rest and will reopen on Tuesday 26th May!

A sandwich is not just for Christmas!
So in celebration of British Sandwich Week our special is a Christmas sandwich - roast turkey, stuffing and cranberry!
