We have fresh Somerset lamb available for free local delivery this Tuesday. I’ve not taken general pre orders this time so all standard cuts are available, there will be no b***d and rolled options as the butchers request deadline have already passed. £12 per kilo, no minimum order. There are discounts for larger orders of lamb, pork or both. Please ask if there’s anything we can help with. All items are vacuum packed and labeled, ready for the freezer

Native, Rare breed Pork still available. We have hocks, belly slices and joints, shoulder joints, tenderloins and some sausages - all frozen fresh from the butcher Thursday/Friday. These are Gloucester old spots X (Oxford sandy and blacks x Duroc) bred nearby for the very best flavour & lean-fat ratio. Beautiful tender meat, packed full of flavour, bred and reared here in Somerset with no additional processes or additives or long food miles just £10 per kilo

Well our home flock of sheeps is also growing! We’re playing a game of sheeps snowball. You see you buy two and then a strange thing happens, you fill the fields with grass fairies and p**f, before you know it you’ve got them in every corner 🤭 so we now have herdwicks, zwartbles and Suffolk cross Charolais ladies. Next spring will be our first own lambing season 😛

We will be breeding British lop pigs and also be keeping Gloucester old spots cross with Oxford sandy and blacks. This will allow us to provide a regular supply of quality rare breed pork throughout the year. With each delivery, I will always add which pig breed it is so you know what you’re getting

So we have a selection of rare breed native pork available fresh from the butcher today. These were our Gloucester old spot (50%) cross Oxford sandy blacks (37.5%)with Duroc (12.5%) mixed in. The meat was graded excellent and the sausages, chops and joints look fabulous. Unlike our usual white British lop pigs, there is the odd black hair/some stubble visible with in the packaging or on the skin but worth it for the quality
