Ever wondered why plants can look extra happy after a good thunderstorm? ⛈️

A lightning bolt’s incredible heat can break apart nitrogen molecules in the atmosphere — something plants can’t use on their own. That nitrogen then combines with oxygen to form nitrogen oxides, which dissolve into raindrops and fall back to earth as a natural supply of nitrates. 🌧️🌿

Basically… the sky is making a tiny batch of liquid fertiliser and watering it straight into your garden! 🤯

Summer has arrived at the Micro Shop! 🌿

After the flurry of exhibitions and fairs, things are settling back down — and today has been all about giving the shop some love. Old stock cleared, everything deep cleaned, and a fresh new season begins.

To celebrate the first day of summer, the theme is sun-loving plants 🌞🌱

A mix of new arrivals and old favourites are making their return, and I’ll be showcasing them throughout the week.
