Recovered introvert, now a bit of a menace

When Mocha first arrived at the farm, she kept herself to herself and mostly minded her own business. Now, she’s come out of her shell so much that she comes with a bite warning.
Alpacas don’t have top teeth, so we’re not entirely sure how she manages it, but unfortunately for us, she’s developed a bit of a thing for chewing on coats and jumpers.

Don’t ask us to tell you which is which… 😬

These two arrived at the farm together, and ever since, they’ve made it clear they’re a matching set.
For most of the year, the only way we can tell them apart is by checking their ear tags. That is, until their fleece grows out a bit and Cal grows a rather impressive fringe.

Existing on a completely different planet 🪐

Age: 1

Another of Penny’s babies, Franc has inherited the family trait of staying on the smaller side - but that’s not the only thing that sets him apart.
Most of the time, he’s off in his own little world, usually found grazing happily about half a field away, completely unaware of anything else going on around him. We’re fairly certain a bomb could go off, and he wouldn’t even look up.
He may have lost the sweet pink nose he had as a baby, but we still think he’s just as cute… even if he’s not entirely with us half the time.

Former Mumma’s boy, now one of the lads 😎

Hendricks was a proper Mumma’s boy when he was younger and wasn’t too impressed when the time came to move into the big boys’ pen.
Thankfully, he’s settled in well and seems to have taken a liking to Trovan, sticking close by and clearly looking up to him like the wise old Grandad of the group. It's quite heartwarming, even if Trovan isn't too impressed...

A small girl with a big appetite 🤪

Age: 2

Florrie is one of Penny’s babies, so we were expecting her to be small. However, she’s often the last one still munching away long after everyone else has had enough food.
Her constant snacking leaves her with a bit of a messy beard when her fleece is long in the spring, and she’s one of the few alpacas we think actually looks better after a haircut!

Clever, curious, and growing faster than we can keep up 💫

Age: 2

Named after Roald Dahl’s Matilda, Tilly has always been one to stand out. She shot up in height early on and quickly caught up with some of the adults.
She’s becoming braver and more inquisitive by the day. Does she like neck scratches? Sometimes, it depends what mood she’s in.
