If anyone is in the Dorchester area on Saturday morning please consider supporting Lizzie and the lovely Fedora Flowers ladies who will be at Waterston Farm Shop which always stocks a great selection of other local produce. When markets are cancelled at short notice, always with good reason of course, it is tough on stallholders who have already prepared fresh items.

The reality of being a small artisan baker... 💔

has spent the last 24 hours baking for the kite festival this weekend, only for it to be cancelled thanks to the great British weather. 🌧️

That means a huge selection of freshly baked goodies with nowhere to go.

We couldn’t bear to see all of Lizzie’s hard work go to waste, so she’ll be joining us this Saturday alongside our usual Oxford’s delivery.

Congratulations to The Hawkstone Farmers Choir on winning Britain’s Got Talent 2026.

What started as a group brought together through Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone brand has turned into something much bigger — a choir made up of real farmers and agricultural workers from across the UK, raising awareness around farming, community and mental health.

Their performances struck a chord with millions and tonight they made history by becoming the first choir to win the show, earning themselves £250,000 and a place at the Royal Variety Performance.

Farming can be a tough and often isolated industry, so seeing this group get their moment in front of the nation was brilliant to watch. A big well done to them all.

We can vouch for this - it's delicious.

We are British Perry Champions 2026! We are so excited to announce that our bottle Fermented Fine Perry has won British Perry Champion at the Royal Bath and West British Cider Championships! This means we are now both Somerset and British Perry Champions. Our bottle fermented Perry is made from carefully selected handpicked Perry pears from local orchards. We hand pick the fruit, press, ferment and then mature for 6 months. We then bottle adding a champagne yeast and mature for a further 18 months in bottle. It's then disgorged and released to market 2 months later. Just under 3 years to make but worth the wait. If you haven't tried it yet think fruity white wine and Prosecco, lively bubbles and wonderful aroma, best served in a flute glass. Pop down to our taproom to try it for yourselves!

Our last farmers' markets of the 25/26 season are coming up. William will be at Wimborne on Saturday 17th Jan and at Poundbury on Saturday 24th Jan. Please note that we have no pears left - other than as juice!

Wow, what a great turn out last night at Poundbury for the Festive Evening Farmers' Market. Apologies for the queue at our stall at times - we didn't expect to be so busy!
