Time to stock the wine rack…

For a limited time, pick up a **case of 6 Bacchus Dry or West Dorset Chardonnay for the price of just 5 bottles.** 🍾

Two of our favourite still wines, and two very good reasons to keep a chilled bottle at the ready this summer:

🌿 **Bacchus Dry** — aromatic, crisp and quintessentially English, with elderflower, citrus and fresh hedgerow notes. Brilliant with seafood, salads and goat’s cheese — and rather good on its own in the sunshine.

🍏 **West Dorset Chardonnay** — fresh, elegant and wonderfully versatile, with orchard fruit, citrus and a clean, refreshing finish. From grilled fish and chicken to summer vegetables and creamy cheeses, it’s an easy bottle to bring to the table.

And finally… **Sea Pink is BACK!** 🌸

🦪 **National Oyster Day** 🥂

Wednesday 5th August is National Oyster Day — which, here in West Dorset, just a few miles from the coast, sounds like a very good excuse to put a bottle of Furleigh on ice.

Fresh, briny oysters are a natural match for English sparkling wine. Pair yours with our **Blanc de Blancs**, **Prestige Cuvée**, or, for a smaller midweek treat, a **half bottle of Classic Cuvée 2018**.

Today marks Tirage- the start of our sparkling wines second fermentation in bottle (traditional method) carefully prepared wine with yeast and sugar (liqueur de Tirage) before being sealed with a crown cap. Each bottle now begins a slow transformation, developing the refined bubbles, complexity and elegance that defines our wines.

This is where patience becomes part of the craft. Years of careful aging lie ahead, ensuring every bottle reflects the quality and precision that go into every stage of our winemaking.

While this vintage quietly begins its journey, our current releases are ready to be enjoyed. Discover the elegance of our award-winning sparkling wines and experience the results of time, dedication and traditional craftsmanship.

Another 26000 bottles have arrived, this time sparkling wine bottles ready for Tirage next week.

Sparkling wine bottles are specifically designed thicker and heavier than a standard wine bottle, they have to withstand immense internal pressure which is typically 5-6 bars, which is roughly 3 x the pressure of a standard car tyre!

These bottles also have a punt- not just to decorate or pour, the deep indent at the bottom on the bottle- acts as a structural dome to distribute the pressure across the base.
