It was last of the summer vines at HQ today. We sorted the remaining fruit into keepers and chuckers, the green ones will get some intensive ripening on the windowsill. We roasted up the glut with garlic and whizzed it into a sauce to use as curry base and pasta sauce. Until next year!

Homemade roti (or rice) are the cornerstone of any Indo-Mauritian meal. Like all simple things they can be difficult to get exactly right. For me they should be rich with flaky layers and and just a tiny bit charred. I made a batch to introduce our smallest to this family staple. They were a hit!

Thinking back to Saturday night . We served our signature butter chicken over the fluffiest aromatic rice and I honestly felt it was some of the best food we've made this year. A lot of time and work goes into getting dishes like this right and nothing makes me happier then when it all comes together perfectly and you guys get to enjoy it. Unfortunately due to some van trouble I won't be this week but please continue supporting those traders that will be .uk Every customer makes a difference to us at the moment.
