We’ve shared videos about our gleaning work, our free after-school meals, and now it’s time to tell you about our communal dining events! Here’s a 1 minute summary of our *Together at the Table* events 🧡

We’ve hosted 6 in the past 6 months, feeding and bringing together more than 500 people! We were even featured on with who explored the power of eating together in affordable, inclusive ways 🤩

Hi Followers 👋

A message for those local to our Community Kitchen at BELTA.

Due to a leak in the building, our kitchen isn’t currently operational, so we won’t be able to cook our usual Thursday lunch tomorrow. 💦

Tomorrow the building will be open from 12 to 2 PM, and there'll be a well-stocked community fridge and hot drinks available, however no cooked food.

Sorry for any inconvenience. We look forward to being back to normal as soon as possible!

We are over the moon at the response to our crowdfunder so far! In less than 1 week we’ve had 51 donations and reached over 40% of our target!

Thank you to and for hiring us to create and serve delicious drinks and canapes for their celebration and award event at . A delight to hear the inspirational stories of learners and trainers from across the city.

So proud of our team today who did a fantastic job. We are available to hire for events including top notch canape service, a full bar service and much more.

What a gathering! 🙌✨

We were thrilled to welcome 94 guests of all ages to this week’s Together at the Table feast. Having so many people come together around shared food and conversation was a real triumph, and we loved the atmosphere created in . Thank you so much to everyone who came along!

We were also chuffed to have the legendary from the from BBC Radio 4’s Food Programme who had an insightful chat on stage with our founder and head chef about surplus food, communal dining and the joys of Ready, Steady Cook.

We’re also incredibly proud of our brilliant crew of 9 who worked hard as a team to bring warmth, skill and heart to the night, making the space welcoming for everyone who walked through the door.

The menu included sweet, velvety butternut squash from who also brought a gorgeous stall overflowing with seasonal goodness. Beautiful baked comice pears from via our friends at .london were a real highlight served with lemon balm custard.

Locally-grown, community-served, community-enjoyed. Here’s to many more nights like this. Stayed tuned for details of more communal dining events in 2026 💛

✨ What a feast! Last night’s Together at the Table communal dinner brought 84 guests and 9 crew together to share delicious food, conversation, and community.

Huge thanks to .veg for their beautiful salad leaves which we ordered in especially and for their yummy surplus kabocha squash — your produce made the meal sing! 🥗🎶

And it was great to have 3 generations of present to share their joyfully spectacular Tromboncino squash 🎺

We’ve been inspired to try this format by the wonderful & who are torchbearers in their own ways for providing what it seems many are seeking: the opportunity to connect with community whilst enjoying healthy, flavourful, sustainable and accessibly priced nourishment.

We hope to put some more Together at the Table dates in the calendar for 2026 - would you come if we do?

A lovely little outing for a mini team last night, thanks so much to the wonderful for inviting us to be part of her live at the gorgeous .

We cooked the delicious Fesanjan dish from the new book Abundance whilst the author talked through food moments from the book in front of a live audience. A great opportunity for our chef Sol to work in a new environment and get involved with some small plates.

It was the friendliest crowd, the coolest venue and the dish sang with the rich flavours of pomegranate molasses, crushed walnuts, cinnamon and saffron, all topped with amazing surplus kabocha pumpkins from . Huge thanks to the lovely Zoe for incredible front of house volunteering 💖

Onwards to our communal dining today, Together at the Table kicks off at 6pm tonight- from small plates to huge sharing ones! See you there!
