The Devils Dyke Pub Country pub and dining The pub restaurant offers an ideal spot to rest after a day exploring the Devil's Dyke Valley, from which it got its name.
(1956)

According to local folklore the valley is an unfinished trench which was dug by the Devil in an attempt to flood the churches of the Weald. The valley now plays host to The Dyke Golf Club and Dyke Golf Course. A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
