Absolutely shameful if our Government continues to allow Brazilian beef into the UK, when our own farmers are being expected to meet ever-increasing standards.

UK farmers are expected to meet strict standards on animal welfare, traceability, environmental management, medicines and food safety.

So why should we accept imported beef produced to standards that would not allowed from us?

If the Government wants British farmers to maintain high standards, then imported food must meet those same standards. Otherwise, we are simply making it harder and more expensive for British farmers to produce food while undercutting them with cheaper imports.

We should be backing British farmers, not putting them at an even greater disadvantage.

Same standards for imports as we demand from our own farmers. It really should be that simple. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‚

If British farmers are not supported its likely you will be given no option to eat meat that is harmful for humans and more so for the planet.

Support British farming. Buy British. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

โŒ The UK Government is being urged to follow the EU and Norway by banning Brazilian beef and poultry over concerns about antibiotic use.

The NFU has warned that failing to act could see Brazilian meat diverted into Great Britain, putting further pressure on British farmers while undermining public confidence in food safety. ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท

The EU ban will apply in Northern Ireland under the Windsor Framework, with Brazil given until September 3 to prove its meat does not pose a human health risk.

Should the UK introduce the same ban?

A really important watch. As farmers, we are at the forefront of producing food. We are worried, very very worried. The current dry conditions are virtually impossible for growing. Not just grain, weโ€™re meaning things like feeding beef cows, feeding lambs, chickens, & pigs. For context, we have had some bullocks that should have been ready to go in May, the lack of grass means they will not even fatten off the land this summer.

Harvest 2026 wrapped up in record time! ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿšœ

A huge thank you to our fantastic team for all their hard work, and to the long spell of dry weather that kept everything moving.

We've still got a few more lorries to load before the last of the grain leaves the farm, but it's great to have the harvest safely completed.

Now there's no time to stand still. Next up is drilling this year's milling wheat, establishing new grass leys, and sowing turnips for winter grazing.

The farming calendar never stops! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ„

Mob grazing the lambs to keep fresh, nutritious feed in front of them while giving the clover a chance to flower. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ€
Regular moves mean the lambs always have the best quality grazing, and the flowering clover provides an important food source for bees and other pollinators. ๐Ÿ
Simple management that benefits both our livestock and the wildlife that shares our fields. That's farming with nature, not against it. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

โš ๏ธ Warning โ€“ Protective Cows, Young Calves & Bull Grazing โš ๏ธ

Our cows are now out with their young calves, along with the bull, and they can be very protective at this time of year.

If you're walking through or near the fields, please: ๐Ÿ„ Keep a safe distance from the cattle. ๐Ÿ• Keep dogs under close control and on a short lead. If you feel threatened by the cattle, let your dog off the lead so it can get away while you leave the area calmly. ๐Ÿšถ

Please respect the livestock and give them plenty of space.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone โ€“ people and animals alike โ€“ safe while enjoying the countryside.
