Meet the Pato Family, a Portuguese W**emaking Dynasty

Few families have done more to shape modern Portuguese w**e than the Pato family. With generations of w**emaking experience rooted in Bairrada, they have built a reputation for championing Portugal’s native grapes while combining tradition with a signature individual approach.

At the heart of the family is Luis Pato Luis Pato often known as the “Rebel of Bairrada”, whose w**es have played a huge part in putting the region firmly on the map.

His daughters Filipa Filipa Pato and Maria Duckman_ART-isanal_w**es have continued the family tradition in their own style, producing beautiful, terroir-driven w**es with a strong focus on natural w**emaking and the potential of indigenous varieties.

We stock multiple bottles from across the Pato family, including w**es from Luis Pato, Filipa Pato, and Maria Pato giving you the chance to explore different generations and different interpretations of Bairrada in the glass.

We’ve recently replenished our ever expanding range of w**es from our friends Breaky Bottom

Tucked away in a beautiful valley near Lewes, Breaky Bottom has been making exceptional English sparkling w**e since 1974. The vineyard’s chalky Sussex soils, sheltered site and hands-off approach create w**es with unique character and unrivaled quality.

Their range consists of classic Chardonnay/Pinot blends as well as charming Seyval Blanc styles, and have all been named after close friends of the producers founder, the late, great Peter Hall, and each comes with an intriguing story. We also have their limited release and super delicious Cassis.

These w**es are exceptional and made in very small quantities, released with bottle age. We love working with this team and since losing Peter they are even more important.
