Any last orders need to be in by midnight Thursday 19th December for collection or delivery on Friday 20th.
The large jars of Christmas sauerkraut are now running low, please get your order in if you’d like one. I have plenty of the smaller size left and other flavours.

Due to strong winds tomorrow, the Long Ashton Village Market has been cancelled. As my biggest market of the year and one that helps fund the slower periods, this is a real blow (excuse the pun 🫣) to my business.

I have a packed fridge full of jars and bottles to sell.
Please put an order in and help me spread the word that I will be offering deliveries locally every Friday in December and collections in Long Ashton. The Christmas sauerkraut is a great addition to all the Christmas food and my jars and bottles of different flavours make great gifts.
Thank you for supporting a small business that is reliant on local buyers xx

Christmas Sauerkraut is now in stock!

Made with red cabbages, apple, orange and lots of lovely Christmas spices, it’s perfect for accompanying autumn comfort meals like roast dinners, sausage and mash, toad in the hole… while adding a dose of gut friendly bacteria. And if you’re a squash obsessive like me it’s perfect with a roast squash, some blue cheese and pearl barley 🤤 🍂

Please get your orders in as soon as you can, it really helps me know how much I need to make in advance of Christmas - last year I’d sold out by mid December!

I’ll have lots of jars available at the Long Ashton Village Market next Saturday 2nd November 🫙

I’m topping everything with my pink sauerkraut at the moment. It’s the most versatile sauerkraut I sell. Simply red and white cabbages, with the subtle sweetness from the red 💜
Here I’ve roasted a squash from my annual squash box topped with cannellini, kale and blue cheese. These quite rich flavours are perfect paired with the pink sauerkraut, plus the colours looks nice ☺️

Once again I’ll be hosting a Christmas special version of my Sauerkraut Workshop on 27th November 🎄👩🏻‍🍳🥬
If you want to spend a fun Christmassy evening making a seasonal sauerkraut with like minded people, come and join me!

It will be a relaxed evening for a small group where we’ll get our hands into some red cabbage and Christmas spices while chatting about fermenting and gut health. As always, I’ll have some nibbles including a few samples of different fermented vegetables and a festive drink or two 🥂

Tickets are £35 per person and you’ll take away your handmade jar of Christmas sauerkraut to share with friends and family over Christmas 🫙

Contact me to make a booking or head over to my website for more details.

As we enter cold and cough season I’ve got some honey fermented garlic on the go. It’s full of lots of immune boosting and inflammation fighting powers 💪

It’s very simple to make - peel your garlic cloves and stick them in a jar with some unpasteurised honey. Leave to ferment for at least a week (I like to leave mine for 3-4 weeks).
I’ve used a local honey here, from Bourton Combe just down the road.

Fermenting corner in my kitchen is very very full at the moment, getting ready for Christmas plus all the experiments during harvest season.

✨ I now have physical gift vouchers for anyone buying a sauerkraut workshop as a present 🎁

The workshops are kept to a maximum of 6 people and are relaxed and friendly. I talk through the process of making sauerkraut while we each make a jar full to take home.

The next workshop is on Wednesday 27th November where we’ll be making a Christmas themed sauerkraut that will be fermented in time for Christmas dinner.
Or you can buy a voucher with an open date for next year. I’ll get next year’s dates up on the website very soon!
I also offer bespoke workshops if you have a group of 4 or more.

Kimchi in all the sizes jarred up and ready for Saturday’s Michaelmas market at Flax Bourton Church.

Unfortunately I won’t be at the Long Ashton Village Market on the 5th October. You can either come along to stock up on gut friendly fermented goodies at Flax Bourton or put an order in for collection or a Friday delivery in Long Ashton.
I’ll be back for the Long Ashton Village Market on 2nd November with my seasonal Christmas (yes I did say it 🫣) sauerkraut.

Autumn really has arrived ☔️ As the temperature drops over the next couple of months the fermentation process in kombucha is slowed down. I usually keep mine in the airing cupboard over winter but it’s still not really enough to keep the bacteria and yeast happy at the preferred temperature of 20-26 degrees.
This year my kombucha is being treated to its own little heater (I think it looks like a whoopee cushion). Let’s see how it does.

I have apple & ginger or just ginger flavours available for the end of the week and hopefully some left for the market at Flax Bourton church on Saturday. Message me to order a bottle or more.
