COMING SOON…

New bottle/New ABV/New(ish) recipe

We have slightly changed our production technique here at the Aperitivo Co HQ. We now use an invert syrup in our Orange Liqueur recipe which means it’s a little sweeter, having the added bonus of making (in our opinion) much better Margaritas, one of our favourite cocktails!🍸

We have also changed the abv to 25%, like the majority of orange curaçaos. This means we have been able to keep the same liquid price after the recent duty hikes🍊

The bottle is now 700ml, and screen printed so the bottle lasts. This means trade accounts can top them up from bulk, saving on shipping and packaging💚

Introductions

Completing the Aperitivo Co trilogy is Richard, co-founder of the company, he has spent almost two decades in the drinks business.

In this time Richard has run pubs, cocktail bars, wine shops and restaurants, allowing him to see the industry from almost every angle.

Richard brings this level of experience to the company, vital to our ethos and strategy.

Introductions

Louis is a co-founder of the company, he studied Design before going on to open a consultancy focused on fitting out bars and restaurants.

He also spent a long time working and running cocktail bars so brings this to his practical knowledge of design and implementation.

Louis is responsible for the logistics and practical side of the business, but also the aesthetics of the brand and how we present our products.

Introductions

Mike is our brand ambassador and as such is the man in charge of all tastings and events.

He’s been with us since march 2021, before we even started trading and has helped us grow and become who we are as a company today.

Mike is also in charge of off trade sales, so if you work in the trade he’s the man you need!

Botanical Macerates

Everything we do starts with botanicals. For Lyon that’s lemon, elderflower & fennel, for Venice that’s grapefruit, orange & hibiscus.

Each of our products has its own botanical recipe, but all are macerated. This ensures our products are rich, rustic and full bodied.

These botanical recipes are developed in house using single botanical macerates, these are built up step by step over months and months until we are happy with the recipe.

Abergavenny

Last weekend we batched up a host of cocktails and aperitivos and hit the road to Abergavenny Food Festival.

The food festival is an amazing melting pot of ideas, independent brands, restauranteurs, food and drinks writers, and everyone in between. It’s a chance to meet the interesting people who make up the UK food and drinks scene with a focus on Wales (with the west of England creeping in!).

This was the third year we’ve been invited to talk, Richard teamed up with the fabulous to discuss all things Aperitif at the Drinks Teatre whilst Louis and Mike plied the room with Aperitivos from us, and

Such a great event and one of the high points of our year!
