The Jolly Hog Three Brothers, one obsession. Our story............
Once upon a time there were three brothers. A rugby player, a ship broker and a cabinet maker.

The three brothers loved eating meat, especially pork and would continually talk about food, have great food competitions and even fight over food. One day they were having a heated debate about their favourite roast pork and sausages yet none could agree on the best. The debate became so tense they decided to solve the problem by creating their own porky delights which would one day become the best and most delicious in the whole land and BOOM, the Jolly Hog was born.

PROPER Chimichurri Baguettes 🥖

Summer has kicked off and these Sausage, Chimichurri and whipped feta baguettes are an simple and DELICIOUS watch party win if you’re hosting friends or family!

Serves 4

Ingredients 👇

- 2 packs Proper Porkers
- 2 x Baguettes
- 200g Feta
- 2 Limes
- 4 tbsp Greek yoghurt (we like using Yeo Valley)
- 3 cloves of Garlic
- 1 Shallot
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 handful of parsley
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 red chilli, finely sliced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 4-6 tbsp Extra virgin Olive Oil

Recipe 👇

1. Fire up the BBQ and make sure the coals are hot!
2. Add The Jolly Hog Proper Porkers onto the BBQ.
3. For the chimichurri. Finely chop and mix the parsley, shallots, garlic, chilli and oregano.
4. Once chopped, add the red wine vinegar, lime and olive oil. Season well with salt and pepper. Mix well and let it sit to improve the flavour.
5. For the whipped feta. Break up the feta and place in a bowl with the yoghurt and using a fork mash together until you get a creamy consistency. Add a squeeze of lime and stir once more. Season to taste.
6. Once the Porkers are cooked to your liking, butterfly and add back onto the grill for some gnarly char.
7. Slice the baguettes open and toast on the BBQ.
8. Once the baguettes are ready, load them with a layer of whipped feta, the butterflied sausages and the chimichurri.
9. Dig in, and enjoy!

Bacon loaded French toast crumpets 🥓

If you’re looking for the perfect brunch recipe that takes very little effort but tastes seriously good, we’ve got just the one for you. A spin on the classic French toast recipe but using crumpets instead, loaded with our extra thick cut Black Treacle Bacon.

Find our Proper Posh Black Treacle Bacon in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and on Ocado 🛒

Serves 2

Ingredients 👇

- The Jolly Hog Black Treacle Bacon
- 4 crumpets
- 2 eggs
- 50ml milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons of icing sugar
- Maple or golden syrup, to serve

Recipe 👇

1. Cook The Jolly Hog Black Treacle Bacon according to pack instructions
2. Meanwhile, beat the eggs, milk, sugar and spices together in a bowl
3. Add the crumpets to the egg mixture and leave to soak for a minute
4. Melt the butter in a frying pan and once hot, add the crumpets. Fry for 4-5 minutes, flipping half way until the crumpets and golden and crisp
5. Remove from the pan, top with the thick cut bacon and drizzle with syrup. Tuck in and enjoy!

Bottomless brunch was never the point…

The best brunch is a slow summer morning, top tier ingredients, a bottle of fizz and a table full of people you want to linger with.

Quality over quantity.

Ingredients 👇

- 4 x slices brioche bread
- 100g Salted butter
- Exclusive Release
- 4 x Luxuriously Large Rich Yolk Eggs
- 8 x Rashers Black Treacle Bacon
- Truffle Dust
- 300g Exotic mushrooms
- 3 x cloves garlic
- A handful of chives

Recipe 👇

1. Heat the pan on a medium heat and add the Bacon and cook to the colour of your liking.
2. Melt 75g of salted butter into a frying pan on medium heat, add the chopped mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
3. When softened, add the finely diced garlic into the the mushrooms and cook for a further 5 mins.
4. Slice and toast your freshly baked brioche bread.
5. In a separate pan, fry your eggs, being sure to maintain a runny yolk.
6. To assemble, place the brioche slices on the plate, spoon over the garlic mushrooms, top with the eggs. Lay the bacon over the top.
7. Finish with a dash of chives and a sprinkle Truffle Dust to your liking.
8. Serve alongside chilled Gusbourne Sparkling Wine.
