Hunter Gatherer Cooking

Hunter Gatherer Cooking This is all about finding good quality honest food and taking it from the source to the plate.

We do this for so many good reasons …. ⬇️
• Protecting trees
• Keeping deer to healthy numbers
• We love venison
• There is an overpopulation of deer in the uk
• We want to feel connected to nature
• It’s ethical and sustainable
• To lower traffic collisions
• Because we enjoy the entire day of what we see, hear, touch and feel
• To feed ourselves, friends and family
• To give meat to others who cannot access it
• To eat wild, healthy, unprocessed food where we are in control of how it meets its end

What’s your reason?

Grill some lemon, char it and get it hot and squeeze some over steak… thank me later.

On a separate note, I’m pleased to say that the diary for 2026 is nearly full for group days at the farm, “at your home” bbq’s and corporate days. If you are interested this year or next in booking a day where we get together and talk fire, food and cooking then dm me and let’s get a chat going.

Don’t waste food, especially meat, and in this case, beautiful Somerset Venison. What I did ⬇️

All I’ve done is added veritable stock and all the meat to the slow cooker and topped up with water and left for 12 hours.

This is going to make some good lunches this week, some hunters pies and I’ll probably get some in the freezer too.

Healthy, delicious and sustainable venison ❤️ 🦌

Corporate Experience Days

So I enjoy putting on stag dos, corporate days or team building days where friends or teams to come together to get away from the office, to fire cook, learn about where meat comes from and how to cook it.

This is how we meal prep, out with local wild deer, part of a management plan and using their amazing meat in our fire days.

I am privileged to be helped with great friends like George where we host these events and use farm produce, Matt for consistently proving outstanding venison, for incredible ingredients and for amazing grills.

If you are looking to engage with your team, or your friends this year or next. Let’s make a plan and get you booked in.

Fire cooking.
Farm Tours.
Wine tasting and Vineyard Tours.
Butchery and Feasts.

Rabbit
Lamb
Veg and salad

So I enjoy putting on stag dos, corporate days or team building day...
