We see food neatly packaged in supermarkets, but do we ever think about where it comes from? This is Matt and Sarah from Hollands Country Clothing, I went to see them and we skinned two deer by hand, butchered them down and then had an incredible bbq.

we’ve teamed up together because I’m going to Norway in September to Hunt and film Moose. Make sure you head over to the YouTube channel to subscribe for when that film is available the fit has been absolutely perfect on these pieces.

Jacket is an XL and the trousers are a C154.
I’m 110 kg 6 foot five and I normally wear a waist 36 inch.

As I’ve only just unboxed this, it’s by no means a review, but I’ll let you know how I get on in Norway.

Been putting the marinating bags to the test using their Teriyaki, Peri Peri, and Barbecue flavours with a mix of boneless chicken drums and tenders.

Marinated for a couple of hours, straight onto the Somerset Grill over live fire, and served up with flatbreads and a simple salad.

If you are heading out camping or on a trip, these are an absolute game changer. They can sit in a cool box safely and easily with zero risk of spilling everywhere.

While chicken is a great staple, these marinades and bag kits are dead easy to use with pheasant or partridge too. Time to start making the most of our game and diversifying the palate a bit at home or out in the field!

Right, so HGC just hit 23,000 followers which is mega! Thank you. But I wanted to use this post to tell you about something new I am building; Young Hunters Uk

I believe in the fieldsports industry, but I don’t think we are doing enough to get new and younger people into it. All round the country there are small groups doing their absolute best, and everyone says we need to get new people in, but what are they doing about it?

Well, Young Hunters is open to everyone, experienced or inexperienced, male and female, but it’s aimed at showcasing the 18 to 35 year olds and what they are doing so that it is attractive to the next generations to come.

We value the older community and respect their wisdom of course, but emailing things out, and magazines are not the way forward, the world has moved on.

We want to put out content, educational and fun, into the handsets and tablets of people in way that this next generation wants. Young Hunters UK is basically run by the target audience.

We want to show people, in videos, what we are all about, it’s not about the trigger moment, it’s about who you are with, the places you are at, the places you visit, the sunrises and sunsets your are privileged to be a part of, the nature you get to see and the skill of what you can achieve.

So far, Young Hunters Uk has hit over 1000 followers on instagram in a month.
We are hitting over 85,000 people in posts now.
We have 12 committed ambassadors from all different disciplines and backgrounds.
We are planning socials and events for these amazing people to meet up, socialise and learn with.
We set up 3 WhatsApp community groups where the chat is ALIVE.
We got meta verified and the followers keep going.

People who aren’t ready to pull the trigger albeit at game or clays/ targets, they are welcome too. We have falconers, dog handlers, beaters, bee keepers and farmers to all help and socialise with.

So, will you join us, head to insta as it’s not going to be on FB, this isn’t where the next gen are at.

Cooking a whole deer to a specific pink isn't easy, especially for 9 hours! We used a salt, pepper, and garlic base, then a Potts chicken stock combined with a rich Guinness and cider stock, and plenty of butter for basting.

The key was balancing the heat, as different parts cook at different rates.

The result?

Venison that stayed incredibly moist and tender, proving that long cooking doesn't have to mean dry meat.

Watch the bidding go wild! An amazing deal was struck at the auction today, with this lot going for a steal at £1,700.

This was one of many auctions held at the Stalking Show in April this year to raise funds for the newcomer project which will be launching by The Stalking Show soon.
