Northern highlights ✨
1) The Stottie filled with pease pudding and ham, particularly this artisanal potato stottie, dense, comforting, delicious. I am already craving this for the impending Autumn!
2) Drake's fish and chips in York, family owned, crispiest batter with perfect salt:vinegar balance. We didn't intend to eat fish and chips in York, it was a quick snack box to tide us over and unintentionally became a highlight.
3) The Cross Keys Inn Tebay, views, sweet little play area, cocktails, nice food (tuna steak) and sports room. After having a couple of horrendous meals out when travelling up north this came as a right little slice of heaven when we started heading back south.
