Object to Bristol Airport’s New Expansion Plans
IT’S THE LAST DAY TO RESPOND to Bristol Airport’s planning application. They want to:
- expand to 15,000,000 passengers a year, all of whom need to get there and back via our rural roads
- compulsory purchase a strip down the middle of Felton Common to build landing lights, disturbing precious ecosystems and privatising public nature space
- increase the number of night flights (11pm to 6am), even though they already break their current quota every year
OBJECTING CAN TAKE LESS THAN 5 MINUTES! You don’t need to write an essay. Even a single sentence would add your vote to show the authorities that we want to prioritise peace and safety for future generations over profits for foreign investors.
This proposal is bad for wildlife, bad for our villages and increases climate damage (hello more heat waves, droughts and floods), while all the profits go overseas to Australia-based investment company Macquarie.
