This year, once again, we are guiding a group of travellers through the season of chilly, squelchy darkness. Will you join us?

Wintering is a powerful experience, both viscerally and metaphorically. By leaning into both the uncomfortable and the convivial together, as a group of adventurers, we can discover the transformative potential of this most maligned season.

Last year, I emerged from this journey with a whole new love for Winter! And along with it, the preciousness of wisdom it can offer us.

If you or your people are on the edge of burnout…
If you are trying to shift your business or organisation towards regenerative models, but struggling to let go of the systems or cultures that no longer serve you…
If you’re always trying to get more done, in less time, with more efficiency, and fewer resources, and questioning ‘does this really have to be the way?’
If you are willing to invest in creative, nature-inspired insights for your strategic team…

Wintering is for you!

Step into the wisdom of the wild, connect more deeply with your intuition, try on some new perspectives and discover what happens when you let go of knowing the answers.

With mental health crises abounding in every generation, society becoming more divided, and the world as a whole leaning into volatility and violence, we need to find different ways of thinking, doing and being. We can find these together around the fire, deep in the mud, tucked up warm with soup bowls and under wild skies.

In Winter, we can find the wisdom to navigate hard times, learn from what’s uncomfortable, and discover the magic of warming community connection.

Give yourself, your organisation and the world the gift of a Winter enquiry. I promise, you won’t regret it!

Hedgerow joy offered by spindle Euonymus europaeus whose bright pink fruits look like candy store treats! These are strictly a snack for the birds though - the berries are toxic to humans 🐦‍⬛
This young hedge is part of our partnership project with Bristol Avon Rivers Trust to create a diverse wetland habitat here, alongside the River Chew

Inspiring sessions and connections yesterday at Wild Summit in Bristol! It’s always so hope-inducing to be amongst that many people who not only deeply care about restoring nature, but are putting their talents into fantastic initiatives. I especially enjoyed sessions from and on how we can be more inclusive and community-led in our wild stewardship work, and a galvanising ‘mission impossible’ session from On how we can achieve 30% of land and seas for nature by 2030 😎 I’m always especially lit up by young people coming up with genius ideas for making nature more accessible, like the brilliant conceived by Max. It was lovely to talk innovative ideas for restoring insect life with and then catch up with the lovely Simon of to get a bit overexcited about river and wetland projects 🤩

THE RIVER ECOSYSTEM URGENTLY NEEDS YOU!
Become a Balsam Bashing Hero 💪

🌸☠🌱 Himalayan Balsam - it’s an invasive non-native plant that is crowding our riverbanks across the country, reducing biodiversity, making soil unstable and contributing to flooding. The River Chew is no exception! We need to pull up as much as possible before it sets seed and sprays them into the water to spread downstream…

We've been working hard at Wild Things Farm to manage the situation. Even the kids have got involved! But it's all the way up the opposite bank, on neighbours' land upstream and down into the village. Can you spare any time to help us? Many hands make light work! As a bonus, you get to hang out relaxing before/after/in between alongside the water gazing at dragonflies, flowering mint, busy bees. Adventurous souls can enjoy going out for a paddle in the canoe, to pull from the water's edge.

Comment or message us if you're up for it!

TIME IS RUNNING OUT - within a couple of weeks too many seeds will have ripened and we can't do any more until next year. Please consider giving a bit of energy to taking care of our countryside. Us land workers really need support with it! 💚💦🙏

✨This Summer Solstice week at Wild Things Farm, we are delighted and honoured to be welcoming indigenous elder and wisdom keeper Maestro Alejandro Apaza, who will be travelling from the Q’eros Nation, of rare unbroken Inca lineage high in the mountains of Peru 🏔️ He will be accompanied by Beti Tuero, translator and teacher of Andean Cosmovision, and Kary Stewart, storyteller and bridge-builder to the medicine of ancient regenerative culture.

🌳They come to offer teachings, healing and ceremony for being in deeper relationship and balance with the rest of nature. Their intention is to share their rituals, stories and traditions as practices through which we can travel to uncover our own indigenous ways of being with the land and each other. Only through reconnecting with our belonging to (and therefore responsibility towards) all of Life, can we regenerate nature and heal our broken culture.🙏

☀️There is a substantial 5 day training, plus evening gatherings with talks, music and storytelling. On Fri 20th June, we will be co-creating a very special Solstice Ceremony, including offerings at Stanton Drew Stone Circles, feasting and camping at the farm. Unmissable!🔥

These offerings are co-hosted by the Inca Medicine School and Kundalini Yoga Collective, with Wild Things Farm. Check out this link for full details!

This weekend!
If you are interested in regenerative culture or deep adaptation as a response to the state of humanity and the polycrisis, please come and join us for some nourishing, thought-provoking and hope-inducing time in nature 💚😊

🔥‘Welcome the Fire’ 🔥
Sat 15th March 5am onwards, until Sunday 16th March 11am.
You are invited to be part of a 24 hour celebration ceremony to ‘Welcome the Fire’.

🌀 As we approach spring equinox, I am reaching the end of an important cycle - the Fire Tenders yearlong journey around the Eight Shields map of nature-based cultural repair.

🕸️ The shields are represented by the directions of the compass, and there are many layers of the map. We can map the directions to the cycle of a day, a lunar orbit, a year, a lifetime. Aligned with these energies, there are many other layers of the map, relating to peace building, rights of passage, attributes of connection and community organising principles (to name a few).

💚 To mark this completion I am offering space in circle around the fire to share my learnings and stories from the journey, along with songs and poems, silent time for nature connection practices, and ‘catching’ your reflections of meaningful experiences that are alive in you at this point in your life.

🦉🌳🌍You, your children and other loved ones are welcome to come for as few or many hours as you like. I will be tending the fire all through the night! We will incorporate sunrise and moonrise looking East to the viaduct from the ancient Grandparent Oaks, and sunset in our beautiful West facing Deer Circle.

Please comment or message me for more details 🙏
